Job Description

Global Equity Derivatives (GED) is seeking a highly motivated Front Office Quant Engineer to design, develop, and maintain technology solutions that enhance the productivity and effectiveness of our trading and sales teams.

This role sits directly within the front office and focuses on building automation, workflow solutions, analytics platforms, and intelligent systems that streamline day-to-day business activities. While the primary focus is technology development and process automation, the successful candidate must possess a solid understanding of quantitative methods, financial modeling concepts, and derivatives products. The individual should be comfortable working with existing pricing and risk models, developing analytical tools, and contributing to model-related initiatives when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain both frontend and backend applications, including user interfaces, APIs, data services, and analytics platforms.
  • Develop quantitative and analytical tools that support pricing, risk management, trade analysis, and business decision-making.
  • Work with pricing, risk, and market data models, ensuring a strong understanding of their assumptions, limitations, and practical implementation.
  • Integrate applications with market data, risk, trading, and reference data systems.
  • Design scalable, maintainable, and reliable systems suitable for a front-office environment.
  • Champion software engineering best practices, testing, code quality, and operational excellence.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions, for practical application within the business.
