Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Brand Advocacy Program Specialist based in Canada.

As a Brand Advocacy Program Specialist, you will help launch, operate, and grow a brand ambassador program designed to turn passionate customers into engaged advocates and creators. You will manage the program's day-to-day platform operations, guiding members through onboarding, challenges, content submissions, and affiliate activity. Working closely with the Social Media Manager, you will translate marketing priorities into engaging campaigns that strengthen community participation and support revenue growth. You will also monitor advocate engagement, identify opportunities to improve the experience, and help establish scalable processes for long-term success. This hands-on role offers significant ownership within a lean, collaborative team. It is an opportunity to shape a growing advocacy initiative while developing expertise in creator marketing, community engagement, and cross-channel content strategy.

Accountabilities

You will take ownership of the operational and campaign activities that keep the advocacy program running smoothly, ensuring advocates receive consistent support and that initiatives deliver measurable results.

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for advocates using the Duel platform and other tools introduced as the program expands.

    • Guide new advocates through account creation, store setup, onboarding, and their first program activities.

    • Build, update, quality-check, and maintain advocate challenges, ensuring instructions are clear and aligned with campaign objectives.

    • Monitor advocate progression through program tiers and identify barriers affecting activation or participation.

    • Maintain the program calendar across promotions, seasonal campaigns, product launches, and relevant food holidays.

    • Keep accurate records of challenge status, launch dates, submissions, performance, and follow-up activities.

    • Develop in-depth knowledge of the advocacy platform and manage its day-to-day operations.

    • Partner with the Social Media Manager to turn marketing priorities into engaging advocate challenges and campaigns.

    • Support the planning and execution of product launches, seasonal initiatives, promotions, contests, and other brand activities.

    • Write and refresh challenge descriptions, prompts, and instructions that motivate advocates to create relevant social content.

    • Prioritize initiatives that encourage affiliate link usage and revenue-generating actions.

    • Evaluate challenge performance to identify the formats and activities driving the strongest engagement, content quality, link usage, and tier progression.

    • Provide advocates with content examples, creative prompts, and best practices to help them produce effective, platform-native content.

    • Review submissions for compliance, affiliate link inclusion, and potential reuse across organic social media, paid campaigns, email, websites, and other marketing channels.

    • Identify high-quality user-generated content and share it with relevant teams for potential cross-channel use.

    • Monitor social media trends and emerging content formats to inspire stronger advocate participation.

    • Support advocate activation from registration through first challenge completion, first post, affiliate link usage, and first revenue-driving action.

    • Monitor community health through engagement, retention, challenge completion, and tier progression metrics.

    • Collect recurring advocate feedback and recommend improvements to the overall program experience.

    • Maintain community momentum through timely challenges, recognition opportunities, and clear communication.

    • Contribute to weekly and monthly performance reporting, highlighting trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.

    • Use program data and advocate behavior to recommend adjustments to challenges, communications, and operational processes.

    • Collaborate with Social, Brand Marketing, CRM, Ecommerce, and platform partners to coordinate execution and share community insights.

    • Requirements

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple relationships and operational priorities in a fast-moving environment. You should combine social media knowledge with strong communication, project coordination, and community engagement skills.

      • At least 2 years of experience in social media marketing, influencer marketing, creator programs, community management, advocacy marketing, affiliate marketing, or a related field.

      • Understanding of major social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.

      • Basic project management skills, with the ability to coordinate calendars, timelines, campaigns, and multiple workstreams simultaneously.

      • Experience writing or supporting social-first content prompts, creative briefs, captions, community prompts, creator challenges, or user-generated content requests.

      • Strong organizational skills and a systems-oriented approach, with the ability to manage numerous individual advocate relationships and activities.

      • Comfort using customer support or ticketing platforms and CRM-style tracking tools.

      • Ability to communicate clearly, provide responsive advocate support, and build positive community relationships.

      • Strong attention to detail when reviewing content, tracking submissions, and maintaining program records.

      • A proactive, adaptable mindset and willingness to take ownership, work independently, and make day-to-day operational decisions.

      • Interest in learning new platforms and adopting AI-powered workflows as team tools and processes evolve.

      • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and respond constructively to changing priorities.

      • Benefits

        • Competitive benefits package for Canadian employees, including paid time off policies.

        • RRSP matching.

        • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.

        • Access to a variety of supplemental benefit options.

        • Employee discounts across the company's portfolio of brands.

        • Significant ownership and the opportunity to help shape a newly launched advocacy program.

        • Direct collaboration with the Social Media Manager and Brand team.

        • Opportunities to develop expertise in advocacy marketing, platform operations, creator programs, and cross-channel content strategy.

        • Visible contribution to a key growth initiative, with the opportunity to influence program development and results.
