From the ice to the pitch, the hardwood to the digital arena, we’re proud to be the driving force behind the Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL), the Toronto Raptors (NBA), Toronto FC (MLS), Toronto Argonauts (CFL) and development teams with the Toronto Marlies (AHL), Raptors 905 (NBA G League), Toronto FC II (MLS NEXT Pro League) and Raptors Uprising Gaming Club, the Toronto Raptors Esports franchise in the NBA 2K League.

We bring these teams – and world-class entertainment – to life at our iconic venues, including Scotiabank Arena, BMO Field, Coca-Cola Coliseum, Ford Performance Centre, BMO Training Ground, and OVO Athletic Centre. Off the field, we serve up elevated dining at e11even, Real Sports, and our signature club spaces like Hot Stove Club, ScotiaClub, and Platinum Club.

Job Description

As part of the Business Analytics team, this internship will support the delivery of reporting, business insights, and analytical projects that help drive decision-making across MLSE. Working alongside analysts and business leaders, you will contribute to recurring performance reporting, marketing analytics, executive presentations, and ad hoc analyses that support a wide range of business functions.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, uncovering insights, and communicating findings through compelling reports and presentations. You will gain exposure to multiple areas of the business—including marketing, ticketing, broadcast, commercialization, venue operations, and strategy - while helping transform data into actionable recommendations that improve business performance.

A key focus of this role will be bridging data and marketing - translating complex datasets and technical findings into clear, actionable insights that stakeholders across the organization can understand and use, regardless of their technical background.

Responsibilities

· Support the preparation and delivery of recurring business performance reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely distribution.

· Use SQL, Python, Databricks and/or R to analyze data

· Analyze business and operational performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights for stakeholders across MLSE.

· Analyze survey data to identify areas of strength and growth for the business, and prepare into slides and actionable insights for the business

· Support marketing performance reporting by analyzing email marketing and CRM campaign results, helping evaluate campaign effectiveness through key performance indicators such as engagement, conversion, revenue attribution, and audience behaviour.

· Help evolve email performance measurement by identifying benchmarks, trends, audience insights, and optimization opportunities that enable Marketing teams to make more data-informed decisions.

· Support the development of scalable cross-channel measurement frameworks, using email performance as a foundation for evaluating emerging channels such as SMS.

· Partner with Marketing and Business Intelligence teams to help pioneer paid media performance reporting within MLSE’s Databricks environment, bringing together campaign data and translating performance into accessible insights for stakeholders.

· Build upon existing marketing reporting by identifying opportunities to improve dashboards, reporting processes, visualizations, and insight generation.

· Translate analytical findings into clear, concise presentations and executive-ready reporting that effectively communicates business performance to technical and non-technical audiences.

· Go beyond reporting “what happened” by helping identify why performance changed, what it means for the business, and recommended actions or opportunities for future campaigns.

· Provide ad hoc analytical support across the Business Analytics team, including creating PowerPoint presentations, building charts and visualizations, formatting reports, and conducting research.

· Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, automate recurring tasks, and enhance analytical workflows.

Winter Term: January 4th - April 23

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to create polished reports and executive-ready presentations.

· Experience using AI tools to accelerate analysis and presentation development while maintaining strong critical thinking, analytical judgment, and ownership of the final output.

· Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate meaningful business insights.

· Interest in marketing analytics, customer behaviour, and measuring campaign performance using data and key performance indicators.

· Ability to translate complex data into a clear story, connecting analytical findings to practical business and marketing recommendations.

· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
