As a Conversion Rate Optimization Manager, you will own and execute the experimentation strategy across two fast-growing direct-to-consumer brands. You will manage the entire conversion optimization process, from identifying opportunities and prioritizing hypotheses to building, launching, analyzing, and implementing winning tests. Working across Shopify storefronts, paid-acquisition landing pages, sales funnels, on-site offers, and post-purchase upsells, you will directly influence conversion rates, average order value, and revenue per visitor. With significant paid media investment generating substantial testing opportunities, you will use data, experimentation, and automation to accelerate growth. This is a highly hands-on position within a lean, fully remote team, offering close collaboration with the founder and significant ownership over business performance.
Accountabilities
Own and maintain a prioritized CRO testing roadmap and backlog for each brand, ranking experiments according to expected impact, confidence, and implementation effort.
Design, build, and optimize paid-acquisition funnels and landing pages aligned with advertising angles to improve conversion rates and revenue per visitor.
Develop and execute experiments across websites, on-site offers, bundles, discounts, subscriptions, and post-purchase upsells.
Write clear testing hypotheses, define appropriate sample sizes, establish success criteria, and evaluate results using agreed statistical significance rules.
Brief developers and designers, coordinate test implementation, and independently conduct quality assurance across variants, including tracking, pricing, discount codes, and mobile and desktop experiences.
Launch experiments consistently, monitor performance, identify winning variations, and implement successful changes promptly.
Monitor conversion performance and investigate any unexpected declines, escalating issues and proposing corrective actions on the same day.
Manage the external CRO agency, oversee its testing roadmap and performance, and collaborate with the Head of Growth to determine when activities should move in-house.
Track and report key CRO metrics weekly, including conversion rate, revenue per visitor, average order value, active tests, and win rate.
Lead the weekly CRO and Funnels meeting, sharing insights, results, and priorities across the team.
Document learnings from every experiment and continuously improve testing processes, quality assurance checklists, and workflows.
Leverage AI and automation tools to analyze customer feedback, session recordings, and survey data, generate experiment ideas, streamline reporting, and automate performance alerts.
3–4+ years of experience managing and executing conversion rate optimization programs for Shopify DTC brands.
Demonstrated results from experiments and funnels that improved conversion rate, average order value, or revenue per visitor, supported by measurable data.
Practical experience building and testing paid-acquisition funnels and landing pages.
Deep, hands-on experience with Intelligems and the ability to configure, launch, and quality-check experiments independently.
Familiarity with AfterSell or similar post-purchase upsell tools, Microsoft Clarity, and Shopify analytics.
Experience briefing developers and designers, coordinating implementation, and managing external CRO agencies.
Strong experimentation skills, including hypothesis development, test sizing, statistical significance, and objective result evaluation.
Commercial understanding of how bundles, discounts, subscriptions, and upsells affect conversion, average order value, and profit margins.
Fluent English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
A proactive, analytical, and results-oriented mindset, with strong ownership, speed, creativity, and attention to detail.
Willingness to work additional hours or weekends when business needs require it.
Alignment with a performance-driven culture focused on continuous improvement, rapid execution, smart use of AI and automation, and consistently exceeding expectations.
Motivation to work closely with the founder and play a significant role in scaling a growing business.
Competitive monthly compensation starting at USD $4,000, with potential for $6,000+ depending on experience and expertise.
Fully remote, full-time position.
Direct collaboration with the founder and senior growth leadership.
Significant ownership of CRO strategy and measurable business outcomes across two growing DTC brands.
Opportunity to work with substantial paid-acquisition budgets and generate meaningful testing data.
Exposure to Shopify, Intelligems, AfterSell, Microsoft Clarity, and AI-powered optimization workflows.
Opportunity to influence growth strategy, experimentation processes, and the development of two expanding brands.
Fast-paced, collaborative environment with considerable autonomy and opportunities to make a direct impact.
