Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead delivery covering a portfolio of Cloud Native Application and MuleSoft Integration managed services and projects.
This is an account-level leadership role with responsibility extending beyond individual project execution. The Delivery Manager will establish strong delivery governance, ensure predictable and high-quality service delivery, proactively manage risks and dependencies, strengthen client relationships, and partner with account, sales, architecture and practice leadership to identify and drive growth opportunities for the business.
The ideal candidate brings a combination of delivery leadership, managed services experience, technical understanding of cloud-native applications and integration platforms, commercial awareness, and strong client-facing skills.
Key Responsibilites
Delivery Leadership
- Own delivery governance for the portfolio across account, providing oversight across projects, managed services and enhancement initiatives.
- Establish and run a consistent governance framework covering delivery health, milestones, SLAs/KPIs, financials, risks, issues, dependencies, quality and client satisfaction.
- Maintain an integrated account-level view of delivery instead of managing engagements as independent projects.
- Conduct regular delivery reviews with project managers, technical leads, architects and service teams.
- Proactively identify delivery risks and establish recovery or mitigation plans before they become client escalations.
- Provide clear and concise delivery reporting to account and BU leadership.
- Ensure appropriate escalation management and executive communication for critical delivery matters.
Managed Services Leadership
- Provide delivery oversight for managed services covering Cloud Native Applications and MuleSoft integrations.
- Drive operational discipline across incident, problem, change, release, service request and continuous improvement processes.
- Ensure achievement of contractual SLAs, KPIs and service commitments.
- Monitor operational trends including service stability, recurring incidents, backlog, technical debt and automation opportunities.
- Drive a shift from reactive support towards proactive service management, automation, observability and continuous improvement.
- Partner with delivery and engineering teams to optimise the onsite/offshore delivery model and improve productivity.
Cloud Native & Integration Delivery
- The Delivery Manager does not need to be the hands-on solution architect but should possess sufficient technical depth to effectively govern delivery across:
- Cloud-native application development and modernisation
- APIs and microservices
- Containerised and cloud-hosted workloads
- DevOps / DevSecOps and CI/CD
- Application integration and API management
- MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
- Production support and application managed services
- Cloud operations, observability, reliability and performance
- Application security and vulnerability management
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build trusted relationships with technology and business stakeholders.
- Act as a senior delivery contact for the portfolio.
- Lead regular service reviews, governance meetings and delivery discussions with client stakeholders.
- Bring transparency to delivery challenges while maintaining a strong solution-oriented approach.
- Understand evolving client priorities, technology strategy and business objectives.
- Translate client concerns and priorities into actionable plans for delivery and engineering teams.
Account Growth and Practice Expansion
- A critical aspect of this role is to combine delivery excellence with account growth. The Delivery Manager will:
- Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client relationships.
- Partner with Account Executives, Sales, Solution Architects and Practice leadership on account
- Contribute to proposals, solution shaping, estimations and client presentations.
- Convert operational insights, technical debt and client pain points into structured transformation opportunities.
- Help create a account roadmap and pipeline, connecting near-term delivery needs with longer-term transformation opportunities.
Commercial & Financial Management
- Maintain oversight of portfolio-level delivery financials.
- Monitor budget, forecast, resource utilisation and delivery performance.
- Identify risks to revenue, margin or contractual commitments early.
- Support demand forecasting and workforce planning.
- Work with commercial and account leadership on change requests, scope expansion, renewals and new opportunities.
- Ensure appropriate controls around scope and prevent unmanaged scope expansion.
Team & Delivery Organisation
- Provide leadership across geographically distributed teams involving project managers, architects, developers, integration engineers and support teams.
- Establish clear ownership and accountability across the delivery organisation.
- Mentor delivery and engineering leaders and promote proactive ownership.
- Facilitate collaboration across client, account, delivery, architecture, practice and offshore teams.
- Ensure appropriate skills and capacity are available to meet existing commitments and future demand.
Experience and Qualifications
- Significant experience leading complex technology delivery or managed services engagements for enterprise clients.
- Experience managing a portfolio of projects/services rather than only a single project.
- Strong experience with application development, modernisation, integration and/or cloud services.
- Experience delivering production support or application managed services with SLA/KPI commitments.
- Good understanding of cloud-native application architectures, APIs, microservices, DevOps and integration platforms.
- Experience working with MuleSoft or comparable enterprise integration/API platforms.
- Strong delivery governance, risk management and escalation management capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience working with senior client stakeholders.
- Commercial awareness including budget, forecasting, scope, change management and delivery economics.
- Experience supporting account growth, proposals and solution shaping.
