You’ll partner closely with Operations, Quality, Human Resources, and other leaders to achieve measurable results in Safety, Quality, Service, Efficiency, and Employee Development.

If you’re passionate about creating safer workplaces, solving problems at the root cause, and turning EHS strategy into meaningful results, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and strengthen a proactive safety and environmental culture across the facility.
  • Manage EHS compliance programs and ensure adherence to applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a key contact for regulatory agencies, inspections, audits, permitting, reporting, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training to ensure employees understand and follow safety and environmental requirements.
  • Manage programs related to industrial hygiene, ergonomics, fire prevention/protection, chemical management, waste disposal, and accident prevention.
  • Monitor EHS KPIs, identify trends, and implement actions to improve performance and reduce risk.
  • Lead or support incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Partner with Human Resources on Workers’ Compensation and Return-to-Work programs.
  • Develop practical procedures, work instructions, and visual standards that promote safe and compliant operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement while supporting cost control and overall business objectives.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of EHS experience
  • EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable safety/environmental regulations.
  • Experience with audits, inspections, permitting, reporting, and compliance programs.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively train and influence employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with multi-shift or continuous manufacturing operations.
  • Lean Manufacturing/continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience in paper converting, chemical/plastics processing, packaging, or similar industries.
  • Professional certification such as CSP, ASP, CIH, CHMM, or PE.

Why This Role Matters

This is an opportunity to shape the safety culture, protect employees, reduce risk, and drive meaningful improvement across a large manufacturing operation.

If you’re a visible, approachable EHS leader who enjoys solving problems, developing people, and turning compliance into results, we want to hear from you.
