About Leo Berwick

Leo Berwick is an innovative mergers and acquisitions consulting firm. We are comprised of top tier, experienced advisors from global law and accounting firms that add value to transactions as trusted partners throughout the deal life cycle. At Leo Berwick, we hire the best and the brightest. Our teams deliver a dedicated and customized service to every client.

As a growth-stage company, we move quickly, work collaboratively, and value people who take initiative and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Our culture is grounded in high performance, continuous learning, and the shared ambition to build something exceptional, together.

What we’re looking for

Some people plan events. You build experiences people remember, and you’re happiest when you’re juggling a conference booth, a client dinner and a webinar in the same week. Leo Berwick is looking for a Field and Event Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team in Toronto or Vancouver, reporting to the Marketing leader. Events are where our partners meet the people we want to work with, and where our brand gets to stand out. You’ll take our event strategy from idea to execution to follow-up, rolling up your sleeves wherever needed. Whether you’re negotiating with a venue or fixing a banner at 7 a.m., you’ll turn conversations into relationships.

You’re the right fit for this role if –

  • Thrive in a fast-moving environment and happily jump in wherever you’re needed
  • Communicate clearly and build strong relationships with partners, guests, vendors and internal teams
  • Take ownership, working independently while collaborating closely with senior leaders
  • Have a start-up or growth-stage mindset: you build the process while you run the event

What you'll do

Event planning and execution

  • Support the firm on event strategy from start to finish
  • Run logistics for conferences, sponsorships and Leo Berwick events, including booths, sponsorship deliverables, shipping, vendors, staffing and travel
  • Plan and host themed dinners and roundtables, from venues and invitations to guest lists (with Sales) and run-of-show
  • Manage webinars end to end, including platform, registration, speaker prep, run-of-show and recordings
  • Coordinate booth content, collateral and speaker materials with the brand and content team

Brand experience and content

  • Partner with the Marketing leader to deliver the right brand experience at every event
  • Shape the core themes and campaign themes for each event, and carry them through before, during and after it
  • Coordinate with partners so they’re supported and on track to deliver their own expert content around each event

On-site

  • Attend events in person, manage setup and solve problems as they arise
  • Create a professional Leo Berwick presence and a great experience for partners and guests
  • Capture contacts and notes from every event

Before and after events

  • Coordinate pre-event outreach and meeting booking with Sales and the Revenue Marketing Manager
  • Drive timely follow-up so every contact and conversation reaches Sales

Data, budget and reporting

  • Build and manage invite and attendee lists in HubSpot, upload and tag contacts, and keep records clean
  • Work with Revenue Marketing and Revenue Operations to make sure event activity is tracked accurately
  • Track event budgets and spending against plan
  • Support Return On Investment (ROI) reporting on cost, attendance, target accounts reached, meetings booked and follow-up completed

Brand and calendar

  • Own the promotional gift program, including selection, vendors and inventory
  • Keep the team’s marketing calendar up to date
  • Manage speaking and awards submissionsDescribe the duties that will be carried out for the role

What you bring

  • 2–4 years of experience in event planning or event marketing; experience in B2B or professional services is a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple events at once
  • A polished, confident presence, with ease engaging senior executives and clients
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM, webinar and event platforms, Excel / Google Sheets, and Canva
  • Strong budget management skills, including tracking spending against plan
  • Comfort using Claude or similar AI tools to plan events and draft briefs, run-of-show documents and follow-up
  • Willingness to travel for events, including some evenings

What success looks like in year one

  • Every event delivered on time, on budget and on brand
  • Each major event built around clear core and campaign themes, with partners’ expert content delivered on schedule
  • Follow-up completed within agreed timelines after every event
  • Clean event data in HubSpot, with ROI reporting for each major event
  • A well-run program of client and prospect dinners

Benefits & Perks

  • Unlimited paid time off including 2 weeks of disconnected time each year
  • Flexible working arrangements – remote and location flexibility
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Attractive medical, dental insurance
  • Pension & retirement contributions
  • Monthly fringe benefit stipend (up to $400)
  • Additional benefits to support your physical and mental wellness

Compensation

This is a permanent full-time role offering a base salary range of $75,000–$95,000 CAD, commensurate with skills, experience, and alignment with the requirements of the role. Placement within this range will be determined based on experience relevant to this role and scope of responsibility.
