Job description

Franchise Development Representative (Inside Sales)

London, Ontario · Full-time, permanent · Hybrid

$56,000–$62,000 base + $10,000 bonus target + per-sale incentives · Expected first-year earnings of $66,000–$72,000

Some people light up on the phone. They're curious about others, they love the moment a conversation turns into a real opportunity, and they get a genuine kick out of helping someone take a big step. If that sounds like you, we'd love to talk.

Oxford Learning is looking for an energetic, passionate person to be the first voice future franchise owners hear from us. This is a brand-new role on a growing team, and you'll help shape it from day one.

Why you'll love this job

  • Your work means something. Every owner you help bring on opens a centre that helps kids build confidence and do better in school.
  • You help people change their lives. You'll talk with people ready to become their own boss, and you'll be part of one of the biggest decisions they make.
  • No cold calling. Every person you speak with reached out to us first. Your job is to connect, not convince strangers.
  • You see the whole story. You'll follow the journey from first call to signed agreement to grand opening day.
  • Room to grow. As you develop, you'll take on more advanced franchise development work and more responsibility.
  • A trusted brand behind you. Oxford Learning has been helping students since 1984, with more than 150 locations across Canada and the U.S.

What you'll do

  • Make a great first impression. New franchise inquiries come straight to you. You'll reach out fast and have friendly, structured intro calls to learn each person's goals, location, investment capacity, and timeline.
  • Spot the right fit and move them forward. When someone is ready, you'll complete the next-step paperwork with them and book their meeting with one of our Franchise Development Specialists.
  • Keep great opportunities alive. Not every strong candidate is ready right away. You'll stay in touch by phone, email, text, and marketing automation so good people don't slip away.
  • Own your pipeline. You'll keep our CRM up to date with calls, next steps, and follow-up dates, so you always know where every opportunity stands.
  • Help us grow smarter. You'll track the numbers we use to manage growth, like response times, meetings booked, and lead sources.

Who you are

We care more about your energy and how you work than where you've worked. You might come from inside sales, recruitment, admissions, financial services, or another phone-based role.

You're someone who:

  • Genuinely enjoys talking with people and is curious about what drives them
  • Brings real energy to every call, and it comes across as warm and natural, never scripted
  • Gets excited about goals and loves watching your results add up
  • Sees follow-up as the way you win, not a chore
  • Believes in the value of helping kids learn and grow

You also bring:

  • 2+ years in a phone-based sales, business development, recruitment, admissions, or similar role
  • Confidence talking with experienced businesspeople, including direct conversations about money and timing
  • Strong organization, so you can keep many conversations moving at once
  • Experience with a CRM such as Zoho, Salesforce, or HubSpot
  • Clear, professional writing

Nice to have: experience in franchising, education, professional services, or marketing automation; French language skills.

Don't check every box? Apply anyway. If this role excites you, we want to hear from you.

What you'll earn

Expect first-year earnings of about $66,000–$72,000, with more upside as your results grow.

  • Base salary: $56,000–$62,000, depending on experience
  • Quarterly bonus: $10,000 annual target, with extra upside for strong performance
  • Sales incentive: a payout on every completed franchise sale and resale
  • Benefits: extended health and dental, life and AD&D insurance, group RRSP, and an employee assistance program
  • Time off: generous vacation plus extra paid company holidays
  • Growth: a clear path into more advanced franchise development work

Your schedule

The people you'll talk with are busy professionals, so we've built a hybrid schedule around when they're easiest to reach:

  • 3 days a week: 9 a.m.–5 p.m. at our Head Office, 747 Hyde Park Road, London
  • 2 days a week: a later start, about 11 a.m.–7 p.m., with the option to work from home
  • One Saturday morning about every three weeks: paid, with flex time given back

You must be legally eligible to work in Canada and live within commuting distance of London, Ontario. Relocation assistance isn't available.
