We are seeking a Grade 7 teacher who sees the humor, energy, and potential in this age group. Grade 7 is a big year. Students are testing limits and trying on new identities. You’ll shape a year that builds the skills and confidence they need for Grade 8 and beyond.
Our school serves students from JK to Grade 11 and follows the Ontario curriculum in English; no French is required. Students also learn Algonquin language and culture and participate in land-based learning.
Specialists teach Algonquin, Core French, and Phys Ed, giving you 360 minutes of planning a week. Four school vans make field trips easy, and lessons can move to the forests, lakes, and rivers nearby. New graduate or seasoned teacher looking for a new challenge? We want to hear from you.
Long Point First Nation is a proud English-speaking Algonquin community in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Quebec. We're semi-remote, with year-round highway access, reliable internet, and cell service. Hospital and major amenities are 1 hr 45 min away in New Liskeard, Ontario.
