Job description

Join the team that is building a trusted internet for Canadians! CIRA is best known for managing the system that keeps more than 3 million .CA domains running as smooth as maple syrup, but we do so much more to help Canadians thrive on the internet.

Whether it’s our cybersecurity products that protect Canadians online, our advocacy work that fights for a better internet, or our Net Good Grants that support hundreds of community-led internet projects across Canada—we work every day to keep the internet strong and free. Join us!

Who you are:

You are an experienced digital marketing technology professional who loves finding ways to make technology work smarter. You’re equally comfortable diving into the technical details of a platform, troubleshooting website issues, optimizing marketing automation or using data to improve campaign performance. You understand how digital platforms, marketing tools and analytics work together to support effective communications and marketing activities.

You’re a natural problem-solver who can translate business needs into practical technical solutions, and you enjoy working across teams to make digital experiences, campaigns and processes more effective. You bring curiosity, sound judgment and a continuous-improvement mindset, always looking for ways to simplify workflows, optimize technology and help others get the most out of the tools available to them. Most importantly, you're passionate about our mission to help build a trusted internet for Canadians.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and optimize CIRA’s communications and digital technology stack, including content management systems (CMS), email marketing and automation, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, membership and election systems, event platforms and advertising tools.
  • Serve as the technical expert for these platforms, troubleshooting issues, configuring functionality, translating business needs into solutions and identifying opportunities to improve workflows and capabilities.
  • Support the health and performance of CIRA’s websites, partnering with the web and user experience (UX) team on maintenance, publishing, accessibility, search engine optimization (SEO), metadata management, troubleshooting and ongoing optimization.
  • Own digital analytics, tagging and measurement through tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Looker Studio, ensuring reliable data and actionable insights to improve web and campaign performance.
  • Support the setup, execution and optimization of digital marketing campaigns, including marketing automation, audience segmentation, lead generation workflows and campaign tracking.
  • Manage integrations between marketing automation and CRM platforms, including HubSpot and Salesforce, to improve lead tracking, attribution, data quality and reporting.
  • Collaborate with communications, product marketing, membership and web and UX teams, as well as external partners, to implement improvements, solve technical challenges and help colleagues make effective use of digital tools.

What you bring:

  • 5–7 years of experience in digital marketing technology, marketing operations or digital platforms, with hands-on experience managing and optimizing digital tools.
  • Strong experience administering and configuring CMS, email marketing and automation platforms, CRM systems and other digital technologies.
  • Experience supporting digital campaign execution, including marketing automation, audience segmentation, lead generation, tracking and performance optimization.
  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce or similar platforms, including integrations, lead management, data quality and reporting.
  • Strong experience supporting websites, including maintenance, troubleshooting, SEO, accessibility and technical performance optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of digital analytics and measurement tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Looker Studio, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
  • Experience working with technology vendors and supporting platform selection, integrations, upgrades and ongoing improvements.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills, sound judgment and the ability to translate business needs into practical solutions, collaborate across teams and identify opportunities to improve digital platforms and processes.

Who we are:

At CIRA, we’re driven by a passion to make a positive impact on Canada’s digital future. CIRA embraces a blend of remote and IRL in-office work to keep our team connected and engaged.
