Scheduled operating room time averages approximately one day per week, with the possibility of urgent cases after hours.

The physician will also have access to a fully equipped hospital eye clinic, including a PASCAL laser, cryotherapy equipment, B scan ultrasound, and other essential ophthalmic equipment.

Call coverage is shared among four surgical retina ophthalmologists, including two colleagues in Victoria and one in Nanaimo. Call is scheduled on a rotating basis of one week in four, covering Vancouver Island, and includes retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) screening when required.

The Greater Victoria area is home to a collegial and supportive ophthalmology community. The successful candidate will be well supported by subspecialists in glaucoma, cornea and anterior segment, oculoplastics, pediatric ophthalmology, neuro ophthalmology, and uveitis.

Eligible applicants will:

-Have completed a surgical retina fellowship in a recognized program
