Managing multiple projects of varying complexity, the Print Production Manager translates creative ideas into actionable production strategies, coordinates Studio requirements, and proactively resolves production challenges. The role is grounded in our guiding principles of Delivery, Chemistry, and Mastery: following through on commitments, building strong relationships, and continually developing expertise.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with Creative, Project Management, Studio teams, clients, vendors, and suppliers to align production requirements, coordinate Studio tasks and deliverables, and review and approve proofs alongside Art Directors.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, manage vendor relationships, issue purchase orders, and oversee print approvals to support delivery within agreed budgets and timelines.
  • Troubleshoot production challenges, proactively resolve issues, communicate and escalate risks when necessary, and contribute improvements to production processes while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Print Production Manager within an advertising or creative agency, managing multiple print projects of varying complexity from concept through final delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of paper and print technologies, including lithographic, digital/print-on-demand, web, and inline printing capabilities, with experience recommending appropriate production methods and materials.
  • Knowledge of digital prepress, including experience reviewing production deliverables, evaluating proofs, and coordinating print approvals to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Experience developing detailed production specifications and estimates, managing budgets and timelines, sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, issuing purchase orders, and coordinating multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), with demonstrated experience using these tools to manage production documentation, estimates, and project communication.
  • BA/BS degree, combined with demonstrated organizational, time management, problem-solving, and communication skills through the successful coordination of print production projects and relationships with internal teams, clients, and suppliers.

Desired:

  • Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
  • Experience producing print materials for pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences clients.
  • Experience with print and lettershop production, including direct mail, fulfillment, or related production processes.
