This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager - Build Forge based in Canada.
The Product Manager will own the product direction and roadmap for a platform that connects mechanical engineering teams with the CAD, PLM, and enterprise systems they rely on every day. The role focuses on simplifying complex engineering workflows and enabling seamless collaboration across tools, teams, and product development processes. You will work closely with customers to understand how engineering data, revisions, bills of materials, and change management processes move across organizations. Partnering with Engineering, Design, and Customer Success, you will translate these insights into product requirements, priorities, and scalable solutions. This position combines technical product management with deep customer engagement and requires a strong understanding of enterprise engineering environments. Your work will help reduce disconnected processes, eliminate unnecessary rework, and improve how complex products are designed and brought to market.
Accountabilities
Develop a deep understanding of customer engineering workflows, including revision management, bills of materials (BOMs), engineering changes, and design collaboration.
Gather and translate complex customer challenges into clear product requirements, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
Collaborate with Engineering and Design teams to deliver intuitive, reliable integrations and platform capabilities.
Balance individual customer integration requirements with scalable product solutions that deliver value across the broader customer base.
Use customer feedback, product adoption data, and business priorities to guide product strategy and decision-making.
Work closely with Customer Success and other stakeholders to support product adoption, identify improvement opportunities, and continuously enhance the user experience.
Evaluate existing engineering workflows and identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve connectivity between enterprise systems.
At least 5 years of product management experience, preferably within technical B2B software environments.
Strong domain knowledge of CAD, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), or mechanical engineering lifecycle workflows.
Experience with enterprise engineering platforms such as PTC Windchill, Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE/ENOVIA, or Autodesk Vault.
Solid understanding of engineering data structures and processes, including BOMs, revision control, and engineering change management.
Ability to understand complex technical customer challenges and translate them into clear product priorities and actionable requirements.
Experience collaborating effectively with engineering, design, and customer-facing teams to deliver technical software products.
Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and sound judgment, with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively and make progress in ambiguous situations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to discuss technical engineering workflows with customers and make informed product trade-offs with developers.
Experience with CAD plugins, PLM integrations, ERP connectivity, or engineering workflow automation is considered an asset.
Candidates whose product management experience is primarily in general-purpose SaaS, without familiarity with mechanical engineering workflows, may find the role less aligned with their background.
Full-time, permanent employment.
Attractive compensation package.
Stock options.
Extended health benefits.
Unlimited paid vacation.
RRSP/401(k) matching.
Flexible remote or hybrid work arrangements, with the ability to work remotely from anywhere in Canada or the United States.
Own and manage the Build Forge product roadmap, prioritizing CAD, PLM, and enterprise system integrations based on customer needs and business objectives.
