We're JLL—a leading professional services and investment management firm specializing in real estate. We shape the future of real estate for a better world by combining world-class services, advisory, and technology to our clients. We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people, and empowering them to thrive, grow meaningful careers, and to find a place where they belong. Whether you've got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades, or technology, or you're looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.

Position Overview

JLL is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Leasing Consultant to join our property management team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing journey while contributing to the overall marketing, leasing, and resident relations strategy at the property. The ideal candidate combines strong sales instincts with genuine relationship-building skills and thrives in a fast-paced, people-first environment.

What This Job Involves

Marketing and Leasing

You will perform the overall leasing and resident relations function at the property, evaluating and monitoring key metrics including vacancy, sales, renewals, move-ins, move-outs, notices, and rescinded notices. You will train, mentor, and support part-time and support staff at the property, and collaborate with the Leasing and Resident Experience Manager, Marketing, and Property Management teams to develop and implement sales and marketing plans.

Day-to-day, you will market and show available suites to prospective residents, managing the presentation of application forms to Property Management for approval. You will keep advertising, media channels, promotional programs, and signage current and accurate, and maintain the customer database to ensure all leads are responded to and all traffic is documented appropriately.

A comprehensive knowledge of the property is essential. You will be expected to know suite types and layouts, common areas, amenities, and value-added services, acting as a subject matter expert for colleagues across departments. You will coordinate with Property Management to ensure suites are delivered on time and as promised, and you will conduct move-in inspections and orientations with new residents.

You will contribute to content creation for the property's social media channels and other web-based marketing initiatives, which may include blogging and drafting responses to public inquiries for approval. Staying current on competitive buildings through quarterly market surveys will inform your feedback and recommendations on rental rates, promotions, and market conditions aimed at maximizing property revenue. You will also build and maintain relationships with community organizations and local businesses that enhance the resident experience and drive traffic to the property.

Resident Relations and Customer Experience

You will organize resident engagement and retention events tailored to your target market, with the goal of building lasting relationships with residents. You will also contribute content to the property's quarterly newsletter.

Reporting and Administration

Reporting on vacancy, traffic, and other key metrics will be a weekly responsibility. You will ensure timely and accurate completion and entry of all leasing documentation, including application forms, tenancy agreements, renewal agreements, and supporting documentation.

Customer Service

Maintaining strong resident relations is central to this role. You will address and document resident complaints and any building emergencies that occur during and outside regular office hours, and you will support broader efforts to ensure resident satisfaction through prompt service, ongoing communication, and consistent follow-up.

Sound Like You? To Apply, You Need To Have

You bring one to three years of relevant experience in leasing, real estate, property management, rental housing, or a customer-facing sales environment, ideally with prior exposure to residential rental properties or housing-related sales.

You are comfortable meeting prospective renters face-to-face and leading conversations independently, with a strong ability to build rapport, communicate value, and respond confidently to questions or concerns.

You are organized and capable of managing multiple appointments and follow-ups throughout the day, backed by strong verbal and written communication skills.

You are comfortable using Yardi CRM systems, digital forms, and mobile applications, and familiarity with rental advertising, property photography, or social media marketing is considered an asset. Given the nature of leasing activity, you have flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as needed.

What You Can Expect From Us

We succeed together—and we want you to grow and thrive with us. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work with a team that is shaping the future of real estate. Our Total Rewards program reflects our commitment to helping you achieve your career ambitions, maintain physical and mental well-being, and find a true sense of belonging at JLL.
