  • Apply Azure security and governance controls, including Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control (RBAC), managed identities, Key Vault, Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, logging, and monitoring.

  • Implement and support business continuity, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery testing activities in line with established recovery objectives.

  • Deploy and optimize Azure data services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and related integration services.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, operational procedures, and support runbooks.

  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, participate in incident response and root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions through to resolution.

  • Mentor other engineers, encourage consistent Azure engineering practices, and stay current with emerging Azure capabilities to recommend improvements.

  • Requirements:

    • At least 7 years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, platform engineering, or solution delivery.

    • At least 5 years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Azure environments.

    • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills, with practical experience using Azure CLI.

    • Broad technical knowledge of the Azure ecosystem, including networking, Azure Virtual Desktop, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, data services, and cloud security.

    • Experience designing or implementing business continuity and disaster recovery solutions.

    • Ability to independently troubleshoot complex technical problems, make sound implementation decisions, and drive issues to resolution.

    • Experience working within established architecture, security, governance, and operational standards.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

    • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.

    • Authorization to work in Canada or the United States without current or future sponsorship.

    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and/or Azure Network Engineer Associate certifications are preferred.
