About Multiplayer

We are Multiplayer! We design and build products that work for people, so people can do their best work.

We design product experiences that bring purpose and delight to everyday tasks. Working side by side with our clients, we help rapidly build their internal design capabilities. And we’re dedicated to fostering happiness in our own culture and in every client relationship.

We believe happiness is good business. When people are happier at work, they perform better, think smarter, and achieve more. This belief powers our approach, which we call Happiness by Design.

The person we're looking for

We’re seeking a Senior Designer with a proven ability to support UX projects. This includes thorough design research, the creation of polished project deliverables, and providing strong conceptual thinking in response to a design brief. You will have client-facing opportunities during the course of a project and should be able to articulate your design choices, and develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients.

Job Overview

Some things you will be responsible for:

  • Produce work that meets Multiplayer's expectations around quality, and guide junior team members through the completion of high-quality deliverables
  • Identify and analyze more complex problems and identify causes and solutions with minimal oversight
  • Adapt to changes in project scope, team dynamics, or workflow with minimal supervision, demonstrating resilience and flexibility in unclear situations
  • Help facilitate the execution of research and transform the insights into actionable design opportunities
  • Produce interactive prototypes, to test ideas and gather user feedback
  • Create rapid iterations to speed up decision making
  • Facilitate client workshop activities to gain insights from our key audiences
  • Articulate the value of good design in our client communications, to influence design outcomes and build trust with clients partners
  • Support the creation of visually appealing presentations that effectively communicate key information
  • Utilize strong storytelling skills to tap into human emotions
  • Maintain regular client syncs to manage client expectations
  • Contribute to the creation of pitch presentations and other relevant assets in support of winning new business, ensuring it aligns with our brand identity, values, and offerings

Last but certainly not least, as a member of our team we hope you embrace and contribute to our culture of continuous creative improvement, innovation, and excellence, and always search for ways to help make a positive impact on the team!

Requirements

  • Proven 4 years full-time industry experience as a UX designer
  • Portfolio we can access
  • Must have a minimum 3-hour overlap with Toronto EDT timezone

Portfolio

Your portfolio is your first introduction to us, and the most important part of your application. Show us that you are someone who does great work and who genuinely cares about how it’s presented. We’re looking for evidence that you apply your craft to how you present your work, that you understand your audience, and that you can tell a compelling story about the work you’ve done.

Every portfolio is reviewed by a senior member of our team, and applications will not be considered without one. Because we give each submission real attention, we’d love to see the same care reflected by you. Show us a few projects you’re genuinely proud of, and tell us about your process in your own words.

Benefits

  • $100,000 - $135,000 annually
  • Work from anywhere
  • Annual discretionary bonus
  • Competitive salary
  • Paid time off (over 20 days)
