Job description

imagi(nation)

We’re bold, creative, pushing boundaries, sparking innovation and creating the extraordinary on the
daily. Our entrepreneurial spirit and passion drives us to find new paths for some of the most recognized
brands in the world. We act locally for global impact. We take risks. We empower. We go beyond.

To those who won’t settle for the expected—you’ve found your crew.

Transparency matters to us. For this role, you can expect a salary between $120,000-170,000 annually, depending on experience. This is for an existing vacancy.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Director, Content who knows how to take a creative idea and turn it into a piece of work people actually want to watch.

You’re a director and producer at heart. You understand performance, casting, camera, lighting, edit, rhythm and production – but you also understand the realities of making social content quickly, intelligently and at very different scales.

You know when an idea needs a phone, a great performer and half a day. You know when it needs a proper treatment, crew and production partner. And you know how to tell the difference early enough to make the work better.

You’ll lead the content-making craft across Cossette’s social teams, helping shape how ideas come to life, setting the standard for our in-house filmmaking, and building a stronger bench of Content Creators and emerging directors around you.

Sometimes you’ll direct the work yourself. More often, you’ll help someone else direct it better.

We’re looking for someone with real making experience, not just oversight. Someone who has been in the edit, on the floor, behind the camera and in the conversations where ambition meets budget. Someone with enough taste and production judgment to know what matters, what doesn’t, and where to push.

Ultimately, your job is to raise the ceiling of what we can make internally and raise the people making it with you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Vision & Craft Leadership: Set the strategic vision and creative benchmark for in-house content creation across all social platforms. Oversee the end-to-end execution of high-performing social content and short-form video, ensuring exceptional craft and alignment with brand objectives.
  • Hands-On Production & Direction: Bring senior-level expertise in directing, producing, shooting, and editing social-first content. Step in to direct flagship shoots or guide post-production when needed, setting the standard for technical and creative execution.
  • Social Platform Expertise: Stay ahead of emerging social platform features, algorithms, cultural trends, and best practices to drive channel strategy and maximize organic reach and engagement.
  • Talent Coaching & Bench Development: Build, mentor, and empower a high-performing team of Content Creators and Editors. Provide hands-on filmmaking critique and coaching through prep, shoot, and post to scale team capabilities and cultivate top-tier creative talent.
  • Production Operations & External Partnerships: Partner with Creative and Production teams to establish workflow efficiencies, determine in-house versus external production scopes, and optimize creator allocation across all active accounts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Client Partnership: Serve as the senior authority on social content craft, partnering with brand leads, strategy, production partners, and clients to integrate social content seamlessly into broader 360° campaigns.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in social content production and discipline leadership, with significant Director-level experience in an agency or studio environment.
  • Extensive hands-on background in directing, producing, shooting, and editing short-form video and social-first creative assets.
  • Deep expert knowledge of social platform nuances, emerging technologies, content formats, and audience behavior.
  • Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities, with a track record of developing content creators, directors, and technical talent while raising the visual storytelling bar.
  • Strong operational judgment in content workflow design, capacity planning, resourcing, and evaluating in-house versus external production needs.
  • Proficiency in professional editing suites and modern production tools, including AI-assisted workflows.
  • Exceptional client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to articulate social strategy, production craft, and vision to senior stakeholders.

What’s in it for you:

We Value The ‘whole You’
