Position Overview

Autodesk is changing how the world is designed and made. From the buildings we live in to the products we use to the movies that inspire us, Autodesk software helps our customers design and make a better world for all. Our customers rely on Autodesk to discover, evaluate, and purchase the right products to support their education, businesses, and careers. We're looking for an experienced Senior Experience Designer to help shape the future of Autodesk's digital commerce experiences, creating intuitive, engaging, and customer-centered journeys that serve millions of users around the world.

As a Senior Experience Designer on the Worldwide Marketing Digital & eCommerce team, you will design seamless end-to-end commerce experiences across Autodesk.com, from product discovery and pricing to purchase, subscription management, and post-purchase engagement. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, content strategists, and analytics partners to create experiences that balance customer needs with business goals while supporting Autodesk's Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategy. Your work will help customers discover value quickly, reduce friction across key touchpoints, and enable self-service experiences that drive activation, conversion, adoption, and long-term customer success.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record designing customer-facing digital products, with deep expertise designing customer-facing ecommerce experiences across discovery, purchase, subscription, and post-purchase journeys. You are skilled at simplifying complex workflows, using customer insights and behavioral data to inform design decisions, and creating experiences that support experimentation, personalization, and continuous optimization. Experience designing for SaaS, subscription, or Product-Led Growth (PLG) environments is highly valued.

Success in this role requires a systems-thinking mindset, strong interaction and visual design skills, and the ability to translate customer insights, business strategy, and product objectives into intuitive experiences. You'll help define how Autodesk's digital storefront evolves, combining world-class UX, compelling storytelling, AI-assisted design practices, and data-informed experimentation to create experiences that inspire customers and drive measurable business growth.

For consideration, candidates must include both a resume + portfolio with password when applying.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of customer-facing experiences across Autodesk.com and related digital touchpoints, ensuring a cohesive and engaging end-to-end experience
  • Create end-to-end user experiences that support Autodesk's Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategy by reducing friction, enabling self-service, and increasing activation, conversion, and customer engagement
  • Leverage AI-powered design tools throughout the design process to accelerate ideation, content creation, prototyping, and design exploration while maintaining a high standard of quality, accessibility, and usability
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Content Strategy, Research, Analytics, and Business teams to define opportunities, solve complex customer problems, and deliver measurable business impact
  • Present design concepts, rationale, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, incorporating feedback to achieve alignment and drive informed decision-making
  • Drive visual experience, quality and interaction design excellence, establishing high standards for usability, accessibility, storytelling, and brand expression
  • Translate customer insights, business objectives, and behavioral data into compelling digital experiences that improve engagement and measurable business outcomes
  • Stay current on emerging UX, ecommerce, AI, and digital experience trends, bringing new ideas, technologies, and best practices to improve Autodesk's customer experiences

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of related professional experience in UX design
  • Demonstrated experience designing end-to-end user experiences, including information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, interaction design, and high-fidelity visual design
  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (such as Figma) and the ability to communicate ideas through multiple levels of fidelity
  • Experience incorporating AI-powered design tools into the design process to accelerate ideation, content creation, prototyping, or design exploration while maintaining a high standard of craft and usability
  • Up-to-date expertise in human-centered design best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Content Strategy, Analytics, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience using customer research, analytics, usability testing, and A/B experimentation to inform design decisions and optimize customer experiences
  • Excellent visual and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex ideas, and large amounts of data and viewpoints, to their essence
  • Ability to present designs to a wide range of audiences, including software development, product managers, quality assurance, learning content development, marketing, and sales
  • Demonstrated experience in research - interviews, ethnography, user testing, etc
  • Effective collaboration with multi-disciplinary global Agile teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in interaction design or related field
  • Experience in eCommerce
  • Experience designing customer experiences that leverage machine learning (ML) such as personalization, recommendations, or intelligent automation
  • Experience with Autodesk or comparable competitive products
  • Experience designing for large-scale .com ecosystems and global digital platforms
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and workflows to accelerate design, content creation, and customer engagement
