Job description

Axonify is the AI-Powered Frontline Enablement Platform that helps organizations close the gap between learning and execution. By unifying learning, execution and insights capabilities, Axonify drives real business impacts for the world’s largest frontline organizations across retail, grocery, healthcare, and financial services.

More than 4 million employees across 160+ countries rely on Axonify today. It’s an exciting time to join as we transform the company and build what’s next.

We’re a team that thinks deeply, moves with intention, and embraces new ideas. We learn quickly, keep a sharp focus on real-world impact, and take meaningful action to drive progress. And we do it as one team, with openness, creativity, and a shared drive to keep pushing what’s possible.

The Role

The Senior IT Solutions Designer is a senior individual contributor responsible for designing, owning, and evolving the internal platforms Axonify's employees rely on. Working alongside the Director, IT, this role sets technical direction across the IT team's domains, leads platform decisions from requirements through ongoing administration, and builds the case for investment with senior leadership. AI is central to how this role works, both in daily practice and in building AI-enabled workflows and driving adoption across the organization. Reflecting the size of the team, this role also works hands-on to resolve the most technically challenging operational issues, alongside a core focus on design, strategy, and technical leadership.

What You’ll Build

  • Owns the full lifecycle of the internal platforms Axonify's employees rely on — from defining requirements and evaluating and selecting tools, through implementation, to ongoing administration and standards-setting — across Identity and Access Management, Mobile Device Management, Endpoint Detection and Response, Data Loss Prevention, SaaS and workforce lifecycle tooling, Google Workspace and collaboration tooling, and office workspace technology (including AV and network).
  • Evaluates business requirements against the full range of solution paths — building, buying, or enabling existing tools — weighing cost, security, compliance, and long-term supportability, and recommends the option that best serves Axonify rather than defaulting to any single approach.
  • Builds and presents business cases and cost-benefit analyses to justify proposed IT solutions to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders, securing the investment and buy-in needed to move initiatives forward.
  • Develops and maintains the policies, procedures, and standards for the platforms this role administers, keeping them current against SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, and GDPR as those requirements evolve.
  • Provides technical oversight and direction across all domains the IT team is accountable for, mentoring team members and shaping technical approach and quality, without direct people-management responsibility.
  • Diagnoses recurring operational issues using root cause and systems thinking, designing durable solutions rather than one-off fixes, and weighing downstream impact across the broader technology environment before implementing changes.
  • Participates hands-on in resolving the most technically challenging incidents and service requests, supporting the broader team through complex troubleshooting and owning issues through to resolution when they exceed what the team can resolve independently.
  • Applies AI tools consistently and heavily as a core part of daily work across all aspects of the role.
  • Designs and builds AI-enabled and agentic workflows that redesign how IT work gets done, rethinking processes rather than simply accelerating existing ones.
  • Champions the meaningful application of AI and automation across IT and the wider organization, helping teams adopt and operationalize new tools and workflows that deliver real operational outcomes.
  • Keeps pace with emerging technologies and trends across IT and technology broadly, evaluating their relevance to Axonify and incorporating them into ongoing platform design and strategy.
  • Communicates technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
  • Supports department expense management and budget planning activities.

What You’ll Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including demonstrated ownership of enterprise platform design, implementation, and administration.
  • Advanced, hands-on experience designing and administering enterprise platforms across Identity and Access Management (e.g., Okta), Mobile Device Management (e.g., Kandji), Endpoint Detection and Response, Data Loss Prevention, and SaaS and workforce lifecycle tooling, in macOS and Windows environments.
  • Advanced working knowledge of productivity and collaboration platforms such as Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365.
  • Hands-on experience designing and building AI-enabled and agentic workflows that have delivered measurable operational impact, using tools such as LLM platforms, iPaaS, scripting, or APIs, with demonstrated attention to security, data handling, and access controls.
  • Demonstrated experience driving AI and automation adoption with non-technical teams, moving tools from experimentation into sustained, everyday use.
  • In-depth knowledge of security and compliance frameworks, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, and GDPR, with experience aligning platforms, policies, and controls to them — gained through education, experience, or certifications.
  • Demonstrated experience designing platforms and processes for long-term scale, applying systems thinking to anticipate downstream impact across the technology environment.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience providing technical oversight, direction, and mentorship to IT team members, with or without formal people-management responsibility.
  • Proven ability to independently plan and lead complex, cross-functional IT initiatives from scoping through delivery.
  • Experience building and presenting business cases and cost-benefit analyses to senior leadership, clearly articulating trade-offs, risk, and investment recommendations.
  • Proven track record of independently identifying improvement opportunities and driving them through to measurable outcomes, including challenging established approaches when better options exist.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly for non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, staying current with emerging technologies and evolving ways of working.

We use AI-assisted tools to create a smoother, more organized, and ultimately more human candidate experience. These tools allow our team to spend more time on real conversations and thoughtful decision-making, the things that matter.

What AI doesn’t do at Axonify is make hiring decisions. Every decision is made by real people, using real judgment and grounded in our values.
