We’re looking for our next Senior Manager, Analytics & Insights. Could It Be You?

This role will be responsible for:

The Senior Manager, Analytics & Insights defines and leads the analytics strategy for Marketing and Product at Questrade, reimagining how teams uncover insights, evaluate performance, and convert data into immediate action. Leading a lean, high-performing team of analysts while remaining deeply hands-on with complex data challenges, this role establishes enterprise measurement standards and drives adoption of AI-native self-serve capabilities to eliminate ad hoc bottlenecks. In close collaboration with Product, Marketing, Data Science, and Analytics Engineering, this leader elevates analytical rigor and transforms ambiguous business questions into clear, decisive choices for senior leadership.

Need more details? Keep reading…

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analytics Strategy & Product/Marketing Alignment: Define and own the multi-year analytics and insights strategy for Marketing and Product, aligning analytical roadmaps with key business priorities to proactively identify commercial opportunities across the end-to-end client journey.

  • Business Measurement & Metric Governance: Own the definitions and business logic for core marketing, product, and client engagement metrics, implemented in the semantic layer with Analytics Engineering, so performance is measured accurately and consistently in all forums.

  • Self-Serve Analytics & AI Transformation: Partner closely with Analytics Engineering to design, deploy, and scale intuitive, AI-native self-serve analytics ecosystems (leveraging tools such as Hex, Omni, and coding agents), empowering business stakeholders to reliably answer everyday questions and eliminating low-value ad hoc requests.

  • Advanced Analytical Delivery & Experimentation: Personally lead hands-on, high-complexity analyses and zero-to-one analytical deep dives; partner with Data Science to design sound experimental frameworks, test hypotheses, and isolate drivers of business performance.

  • Data Rigor & Engineering Collaboration: Write, maintain, and review production-grade SQL and dbt models within modern cloud platforms (BigQuery, Databricks, or Snowflake), championing analytical quality, modular data structures, and reproducibility across the team.

  • Executive Storytelling & Decision Enablement: Synthesize complex exploratory data, commercial models, and statistical findings into concise, actionable executive presentations and decision memos that guide strategic choices and drive measurable business impact.

  • Team Leadership & Analytical Capability Building: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of analytics professionals, instilling rigorous standards for business curiosity, critical thinking, validation of AI-generated work, and impactful stakeholder communication.

So are YOU our next Senior Manager, Analytics and Insights? You are if you have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in analytics, business intelligence, or strategic data leadership roles, with a demonstrable track record of insights directly driving marketing or product decisions.

  • Advanced, hands-on SQL and dbt expertise working directly in cloud data platforms (BigQuery, Databricks, or Snowflake).

  • Solid practical foundation in statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and A/B/n experimentation design.

  • Proven ability to synthesize complex quantitative analyses into clear, one-page decision memos and executive presentations that influence senior stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing a team of data analysts while remaining hands-on with data and analysis.

  • Demonstrated fluency with AI tools in day-to-day analytical workflows, with sound judgment in validating AI-generated work.

Additional kudos if you…

  • Regular hands-on experience using AI coding agents (such as Claude Code) to accelerate analytical workflows, paired with modern collaborative BI platforms (such as Hex or Omni).

  • Track record of starting an analytics practice from scratch, establishing new partnership models, or building self-serve capabilities that significantly reduced recurring ad hoc requests.

  • Prior experience in financial services, brokerage, digital banking, or high-growth tech environments.

  • Practical scripting ability in Python for exploratory analysis, statistical modeling, or automation.

Compensation Information:

  • Base salary range: $170,000 - $200,000

  • The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
