Job description

About Velora:

📍check out our company website: joinvelora.com

Our product websites:

We’re excited to share that Aplos, Raisely, and Keela have come together to form one unified company, Velora, with a shared mission: to help nonprofit organizations thrive. While we continue to offer the products you know and love, we now operate as one team, dedicated to making nonprofit work easier, more impactful, and more sustainable.

Together, our combined expertise spans fundraising, donor management, financial tracking, and communications—offering a powerful suite of tools designed to reduce complexity so nonprofits can focus on what matters most: making a difference.

We’re one company with 3 products all servicing customers in the impact space. Working at Velora means that you have the opportunity to build one or across all our products.

We have a combination of merged teams and also teams dedicated to one specific product and you can find details about the work through our job descriptions under the “about the role” section.

About the role

We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to own cross-product and platform work across Velora, the capabilities and experiences that span Aplos, Raisely, Keela, grant management, Velora Home, and Mission Assistant.

This is a senior IC seat. You’ll create clarity in ambiguity, own complex initiatives end-to-end with minimal oversight, and partner deeply with Engineering, Data, and GTM. You’ll use AI throughout how you work and where it creates step-change for customers. You’ll mentor more junior PMs through influence and craft standards; this is not a people-manager role.

You’ll have the opportunity to support growth across all Velora products, not a single brand silo.

Why now: We’re scaling Act 3 product bets (unified Home, Mission Assistant, shared platform foundations) and need a Senior PM who can run hard problems without waiting for a playbook.

Some overlap with Pacific hours is required for collaboration across North America and our global team.

What will you be doing?

Direction and discovery

  • Own Mission Assistant and cross-product initiatives end to end, from discovery through launch, adoption, and iteration.
  • Help shape the Mission Assistant roadmap across Aplos, Raisely, Keela, and grant management, coordinating dependencies with other product owners.
  • Lead customer research into nonprofit workflows and turn what you learn into focused bets, not feature lists.
  • Decide where AI creates a real step change for customers and where simpler product work is the better call.
  • Define success metrics up front, instrument impact, and close the loop after launch.

Delivery and collaboration

  • Build working prototypes with AI tools, review them with your engineering pod in GitHub, and use the feedback to sharpen requirements.
  • Partner with Engineering and Data on AI quality, reliability, cost, and user trust.
  • Work in small, project-based pods: weekly syncs with your engineers, async prototype reviews in Slack, and Friday demos where the team shares new ideas.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to leadership and partners, bringing options and a recommendation.
  • Support rollout with enablement for CS, Sales, and Marketing, and mentor other PMs through critique, pairing, and craft standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of product management in SaaS, ideally B2B, with a track record of owning products end to end from discovery through delivery and iteration.
  • Experience launching several significant product initiatives, not just working through a backlog.
  • Hands-on AI product experience, with real examples of AI features or prototypes you built or shipped and how you knew they worked.
  • A working understanding of modern AI, including generative AI, automation, and agentic workflows, and of where LLMs do well and where they fall short.
  • Comfort using AI every day in your own product work, including building lightweight prototypes to test ideas.
  • Ability to partner closely with engineers and data scientists and reason through trade-offs like quality, cost, reliability, and user trust.
  • A senior individual contributor mindset: you own outcomes, create structure in ambiguity, and keep things moving without waiting for direction.
  • Curiosity about customers and the broader business, with the discipline to turn insights into focused bets and use metrics to prioritize.
  • Strong influence across Engineering, Design, Data, and go-to-market teams, and an interest in mentoring other PMs without a manager title.
  • Clear written communication and the commercial sense to connect product decisions to business outcomes.
  • Nonprofit tech, fundraising, fund accounting, CRM, or grants experience is preferred, as is work on platform or multi-product suites.

Why work with us?

If you need more convincing, here’s the rest of it:

  • 💵 Salary – Compensation band $140K - $178K CAD. Your base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, experience, and geographic location.
  • 🏝️ Paid Time Off – Canada: Everyone gets 4 weeks paid leave plus 11 days of public holidays, as well as an ‘end of year shutdown’ which is an extra 2 week company holiday. Plus, you are entitled to generous paid sick leave.
  • 🌴 Work remotely – We’re a remote-first company - live and work wherever you’re happiest (within approved hire locations).
  • 🤷 Training – We’ll support you when you want to learn new skills or pay for conference or course tickets.
  • ❤️ Health Coverage & Retirement – Canada & US: We offer robust medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance coverages and have a 4% match on Retirement.
