Working independently while benefiting from dedicated sales leadership and coaching, you will manage your activities and adapt your schedule to support business development. You will receive targeted training to strengthen your sales capabilities and credit knowledge, along with the tools and resources needed to succeed. This is an opportunity to build your own mortgage business, deliver a strong customer experience, and grow your career within an established financial services environment.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will be responsible for generating mortgage business, developing customer relationships, and managing the sales process from initial contact through to successful outcomes. Your main responsibilities will include:

    • Proactively identify and develop new mortgage sales opportunities within your assigned market.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, real estate agents, builders, financial planners, and other professional referral partners.

    • Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, and other business development initiatives.

    • Understand customers' financial needs and guide them toward appropriate mortgage solutions.

    • Manage your sales pipeline and business development activities using dedicated sales management tools.

    • Maintain consistent customer communication and deliver a high standard of service throughout the mortgage sales journey.

    • Work closely with your Senior District Sales Manager through joint sales calls, regular coaching sessions, and performance discussions.

    • Apply your developing knowledge of mortgage products, credit principles, and lending processes to support customer needs and sales objectives.

    • Requirements

The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional with a strong ability to develop business independently, build customer relationships, and succeed in a competitive market. Key qualifications and skills include:

      • Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in a customer-facing financial services environment.

      • Strong business development capabilities and experience identifying and converting new sales opportunities.

      • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a proactive and strategic approach to building and managing a customer portfolio.

      • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and remain productive in a fast-paced and competitive environment.

      • Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, networking, and relationship management skills.

      • Strong sales aptitude, with the ability to understand customer needs and develop trusted professional relationships.

      • Knowledge of retail banking and/or credit adjudication would be an advantage.

      • Post-secondary education preferred.

      • Self-motivation, adaptability, and a strong commitment to achieving sales and customer service objectives.

      • Benefits

        • Competitive commission-based compensation with unlimited earning potential.

        • Comprehensive employee benefits package.

        • Flexible work schedule, supporting a balance between professional and personal commitments.

        • Remote work arrangement with essential home-office equipment, including a laptop, email, and network access.

        • Monthly phone allowance.

        • Targeted sales training and onboarding to develop mortgage sales capabilities and credit knowledge.

        • Ongoing support from a Senior District Sales Manager, including joint sales calls and monthly coaching sessions.

        • Dedicated sales management systems and activity management programs to support performance.

        • Career development and advancement opportunities within an established international financial services organization.

        • Access to professional development conversations, mentoring programs, and online learning resources.

        • Additional wellbeing, savings, retirement, paid leave, banking, and employee discount programs.
