About the role

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will lead the People and organisation agenda for Worley’s Major Projects & Programs group. You will translate business, portfolio and project priorities into integrated workforce, talent and organisational strategies that strengthen project delivery capability, leadership effectiveness, workforce readiness and long-term business performance.

As a trusted executive advisor to the Group Executive President, MPP, the MPP leadership team and project executives, you will shape critical decisions across workforce planning, global mobilisation and deployment, organisation design, leadership, succession, talent, culture, performance, transformation and employee relations.

You will use commercial insight, workforce analytics and labour-market intelligence to anticipate delivery and workforce risk, secure scarce capability and ensure MPP has the organisational capacity and talent to safely and successfully deliver complex projects for customers. You will mobilise People capabilities across Business Partnering, People Operations, regional People teams, People Strategy & Governance and Global Process Owners to provide coherent, practical and globally integrated solutions.

What you will be accountable for

  • Partner with the Group Executive President, MPP, the MPP leadership team and project executives to translate portfolio, project and customer priorities into integrated People plans with clear outcomes.
  • Lead strategic workforce planning across the MPP portfolio, anticipating capacity constraints, scarce-skill requirements, critical capability gaps and material workforce risks.
  • Develop strategies to secure, mobilise, deploy, redeploy and retain project talent and specialist capability globally, balancing schedules, customer commitments, cost, risk and employee experience.
  • Shape leadership and talent strategies, including executive and senior leadership succession, talent reviews, leadership assessment, development, mobility and hiring actions.
  • Coach senior leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness, team performance, decision quality, accountability and project execution capability.
  • Lead organisation design, operating-model and transformation initiatives, including project start-ups, transitions, restructuring, integrations and close-outs.
  • Oversee complex workforce and employee-relations matters, ensuring appropriate governance, risk management and compliance.
  • Mobilise People Business Partners, People Strategy & Governance and Global Process Owners, People Operations and regional People teams around MPP priorities.
  • Lead, coach and develop People professionals supporting MPP, building project and commercial acumen, disciplined execution and enterprise orientation.
  • Represent MPP within the People Leadership Team and contribute to enterprise People strategy, governance and continuous improvement.

About you

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, organisational development, psychology or a relevant field, or equivalent directly relevant experience.
  • Significant People leadership experience in large project-based, consulting, engineering, construction, infrastructure, energy or resources organisations.
  • Experience as a principal People partner to senior executives responsible for major project delivery, project portfolios or global delivery organisations.
  • Deep expertise in strategic workforce planning, global mobilisation and deployment, organisation design, succession, executive talent management, leadership development, culture and large-scale change.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including project delivery models, resource planning, labour markets, workforce cost and workforce risk management.
  • A proven ability to anticipate and address scarce-skill and critical-capability requirements in complex, matrixed and globally distributed environments.
  • Executive advisory and influencing capability, with the confidence to frame complex issues, challenge assumptions constructively and build alignment.
  • Strong analytical judgment, integrating workforce data, project demand, market intelligence and business context into evidence-based recommendations.
  • Experience leading organisation design, operating-model change, transformation, restructuring, integration or cost and productivity initiatives.
  • Sound understanding of employee relations, employment risk and governance in complex international and project environments.
  • Global and cross-cultural leadership experience, with the ability to lead, coach and develop senior People professionals.
  • Excellent executive-level written and verbal communication, and a strong technology and continuous-improvement mindset.
