About Foundation
Foundation helps B2B tech and SaaS brands get found, cited and recommended when their buyers ask AI for solutions. We do it through Generative Engine Optimization (GEO): the research, content, distribution and optimization that build a brand's presence across LLMs, search, Reddit, YouTube and the sources they draw on.
Mission of the Role
You own video at Foundation: how we make it, how good it is, and how it grows. Our video work exists to get clients found and cited in AI search and on YouTube. You build the engine that delivers it well, at scale.
Video covers YouTube first, plus on-page video and short-form where it supports visibility, and the craft behind it: scripts, hooks, pacing, packaging and thumbnails.
Reports to: Head of Organic & AI Visibility. Direct reports: video specialists
What you'll own:
- Execution. You own how video gets made at Foundation: whether we build an in-house team, use a bench of freelancers, partner with a production company, or mix them. You choose and manage the partners, set the workflow, and make it run at scale without losing quality.
- Your team. You manage and develop the video specialists who aren't yet placed in pods. The resource manager staffs them across pods. As video demand grows, they move into pods and stay on your dotted line.
- The video craft. You own what good video looks like: scripts, hooks, pacing, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, and how a video gets found on YouTube and cited by AI assistants. The Creative Director's quality gate holds video to your standard.
- The standard. You set methods and SOPs, support QA, spot and close skills gaps, give input on reviews, and run the technical interview for every video hire.
- Growth across every book. You work with the GEO/AEO Marketing Directors to find clients who should be buying video and aren't yet, and help them pitch it.
- New offerings. You spot what's next in video for AI visibility and make it sellable and deliverable.
- Client education and sales support. You run working sessions for clients and join pitches where your expertise wins the deal.
What you bring:
- 8+ years in video, including growing YouTube channels for B2B brands, with channel results you can show and explain.
- You've built and run a video production engine: in-house, freelance or agency partners, with budgets, timelines and quality you can talk through.
- Strong opinions on the whole engine: scripts, thumbnails, pacing, packaging and descriptions. You can look at a video and say exactly why it will or won't perform.
- You've already built things with AI: agents, tools or workflows you use in your real work, and you can show us how you built them. Hands-on time with tools like VidIQ, HeyGen, ElevenLabs or Higgsfield counts. If you haven't built with AI yet, this role isn't the right fit right now.
- Experience teaching others and raising the bar for people who don't report to you. A channel of your own is a strong plus.
Position Details:
Full-time (Monday to Friday, ~40 hours/week), Full Remote
Target Location: Canada, USA
Compensation: Base salary 88k–110k depending on experience and location
Variable compensation: Target 15% of base, tied to KPIs
Where you land in the range depends on experience. US ranges may be adjusted for cost of labor in your state. Benefits are on top of base.
