ROLE

As an ACD, Content at Sid Lee, you'll lead the Content team with a sharp understanding of culture, audience, and what makes content resonate across platforms.

You bring a strong point of view and a deep understanding of how content lives in digital and social environments. With a curated, discerning, audience-first approach, you know how to develop platform-native ideas that feel timely, relevant, and built for the way people actually consume content. You’re equally comfortable responding quickly to culture as you are shaping longer-term integrated ideas, and you know when a social spark has the potential to grow into something bigger.

As a creative leader, you help teams think bigger, push further, and raise the bar on every brief. You collaborate closely with strategy, accounts, and production to bring ideas to life with clarity and craft. With a balance of creative ambition, sound judgement, and a strong sense of quality, you help build content that not only performs in the moment, but leaves a lasting impression.

  • Identify cultural moments and opportunities for reactive content that aligns with brand strategy
  • Elevate social ideas into integrated campaigns when the concept warrants broader execution
  • Partner with strategy, account, and production teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to delivery
  • Guide creative development across platforms, understanding format nuances without being constrained by them
  • Set creative direction for social campaigns, ensuring work is culturally relevant and strategically sound
  • Manage team workflows and priorities, balancing speed with creative quality
  • Present work to clients with clarity and conviction, articulating creative rationale and cultural context
  • Monitor performance and cultural response, applying learnings to refine approach

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field.
  • 8+ years of agency experience.
  • Proven experience managing creative teams and developing talent.
  • Strong grasp of current events, pop culture, and digital trends with ability to assess what will resonate.
  • Portfolio demonstrating integrated campaign work with social components.
  • Experience creating reactive content that performs without sacrificing brand integrity.
  • Ability to recognize when ideas deserve expansion beyond their original scope.
  • Excellent judgment in balancing speed with creative quality.
  • Clear communication skills for presenting work and providing actionable feedback.
  • Understanding of platform-specific creative requirements and opportunities.
  • Collaborative approach to working across disciplines.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to make decisive creative calls under time pressure.
  • Team Player. You are positive, collaborative and have a contagious spirit. You work well with others.
  • Entrepreneurial. You take initiative and proactively come to the table with new ideas to push forward the creative work and develop the client relationship.
  • Production Savvy. You know how to work within budgetary constraints and have experience working with photographers, directors and vendors.
  • Time Management. You can manage your time, meet deadlines and be on time for meetings while juggling multiple projects.
  • Cultural Player. You contribute to the culture of the agency and take part in activities that foster the agency spirit.
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written.

The base salary range for this role is $100,000–$115,000 CAD annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
