ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is a Canadian medical device manufacturer committed to improving patient outcomes through innovations that harness the natural world. With an innovative wound care and infection control portfolio and ambitious growth plans, the organization is seeking a Territory Manager to expand its business across acute care healthcare facilities in the Greater Toronto Area.

This is an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of a market. You will identify the strongest opportunities, build relationships within healthcare facilities, create demand, overcome adoption barriers, and convert that work into sustainable sales growth.

The company is looking for an entrepreneurial medical device professional who wants the freedom to think independently and the accountability that comes with owning the sales results.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Remain accountable for achieving and exceeding territory sales objectives.
  • Drive contract pull-through to increase product utilization throughout several major Toronto hospitals.
  • Build a strategic territory plan that prioritizes the healthcare facilities and customer opportunities with the greatest growth potential.
  • Identify and develop new relationships with healthcare professionals and institutional decision-makers.
  • Build productive relationships with distributors and other stakeholders who can support territory growth.

Requirements

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Education & Training

  • College or university education in Business, Science, Healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant medical device or clinical training is considered an asset.

Work Experience & Accomplishments

  • 3+ years of medical device sales experience within acute care healthcare facilities in the Greater Toronto Area is required.
  • Knowledge of wound care, infection prevention, or surgical markets is advantageous and valued.
  • Proven success managing existing accounts and developing customer relationships from the ground up to generate new business is expected.

Skills & Competencies

  • Entrepreneurial approach to territory management with strong personal ownership and accountability.
  • Proactive new-business mentality, motivated to create opportunities rather than wait for them.
  • Persistent sales style and the judgement to distinguish between an objection that can be overcome and an opportunity that should be deprioritized.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish credibility with healthcare professionals.
  • Creative problem-solving capabilities with the confidence to develop account-specific approaches.
  • Competitive drive, supported by a professional, relationship-oriented approach to selling.

Benefits

WHAT THE COMPANY OFFERS

  • The opportunity to represent an innovative wound care portfolio focused on improving patient outcomes that reduce healthcare-associated infections.
  • Significant autonomy to develop accounts and expand market presence.
  • An entrepreneurial environment that values initiative, creativity, persistence, and execution.
