Job description
This is a global insurtech company focused on embedded insurance and protection solutions. Its technology enables insurers and other businesses to integrate insurance products directly into their existing customer journeys, making it easier to quote, purchase, manage and service coverage through digital channels. The company has built a significant international footprint, working with insurers and distribution partners across multiple industries including financial services, telecommunications, retail, mobility, consumer electronics, travel and cyber protection.
What makes this company particularly attractive is the combination of a high-growth technology environment with the scale and complexity of the global insurance industry. Its cloud-based platform connects insurers, distribution partners and customers through a single technology ecosystem, helping businesses launch new insurance offerings faster while improving the overall customer experience. It is an interesting environment for someone who wants to work at the intersection of technology, data and insurance within a rapidly growing international organization.
They are currently very much in a scale-up phase. The company has reached Series C funding with a valuation of approximately $2.1 billion, and the organization continues to invest heavily in technology, product development and global expansion. As part of that next stage of growth, the company is looking to continue maturing its operations and technology organization, with the ambition of being IPO-ready as early as next year.
As part of this growth, we are currently searching for an AI Engineering Manager. The internal AI team is currently around 4–5 people, supported by close to 10 contractors, and this person will play an important role in managing, structuring and growing the team as AI becomes increasingly important across the organization. The mandate will combine people leadership, technical direction and team building, with the opportunity to help shape how the company develops and scales its AI engineering capabilities.
Summary: Leads the AI squad's people, roadmap, and technical standards - translating business priorities into a coherent AI strategy across the AI Rater, conversational AI, and internal productivity tooling - while staying hands-on.
