We’re seeking an analytical and commercially minded Senior Data Analyst to help maximize the profitability of our Magic: The Gathering inventory. You’ll turn sales, inventory, and marketplace data into pricing models, actionable reporting, and recommendations that improve buying and selling decisions.
As part of our newly forming data team, you’ll take ownership of pricing for the core of our Magic inventory and play a central role in rebuilding our pricing algorithm. This is a senior individual contributor position with substantial ownership of your work and responsibility for setting strong analytical standards within the team.

- Establish practical standards for building, testing, documenting, and validating analytical models.
- Collaborate with pricing specialists, purchasing, data operations, and Technology to turn analysis into reliable day-to-day processes.
- Provide a short weekly written update on pricing and algorithm changes, results, and next priorities, and focus your work on the opportunities with the greatest business value.

- Working knowledge of the Magic: The Gathering secondary market and the factors that influence card prices.
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain methodology, findings, and recommendations.
- Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and an understanding of how pricing decisions affect margins and inventory profitability.
- Ability to prioritize independently, take ownership of open-ended problems, and collaborate with colleagues across different specialties.
- Willingness to quickly learn our ERP and internal systems.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- A background in finance or a quantitative discipline.
- Experience analyzing ERP, POS, or ecommerce data in a retail environment.
What We Offer
- A competitive base salary and participation in the company bonus pool, with performance expectations established jointly within your first three months.
- A hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week at our Montréal office.
- Benefits including health, dental, group RRSP with employer contribution match, and employee discount.
- A collaborative and supportive work environment.
- The opportunity to shape our pricing models and analytical practices as we build our data team.
- Meaningful ownership and an opportunity to shape your own role at a fast-growing Canadian small business.
