You will champion the user experience, support requirements and testing, maintain data quality, and help drive adoption of tools that improve how our teams work across Western Canada.

This role is based out of Calgary, Alberta

The Team

You will join a collaborative, cross-functional team that works closely with Account Management, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Reporting, and Development. Together, the team partners with field users to deliver solutions that are practical, reliable, and aligned with the needs of the business.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday position based in SECURE’s Brookfield Office in downtown Calgary, with occasional travel to field locations across Western Canada. Occasional after-hours or weekend support may be required during application releases or when system issues impact field operations.

A Day in The Life

  • Business Champion: Act as the primary business owner and advocate for the Production Chemicals application. Understand how field and operations teams use the application, drive adoption, and represent their needs when enhancements are prioritized.

  • Development & Reporting Coordination: Coordinate with the development and reporting teams from design through release. Clarify requirements and confirm that application changes and reports meet business needs before they go live.
  • Business Testing: Plan and lead business testing, including user acceptance and regression testing. Build test scenarios from real field and operational workflows, involve the right end users, document defects clearly, retest fixes, and give business sign-off before release.
  • Training & Operational Support: Train users and support adoption of new functionality through communication and change management. Act as first point of contact for application questions, resolve issues where possible, and escalate defects with clear supporting detail.
  • Master Data Support: Maintain and govern master data within the application, such as customers, locations, products, and treatment programs. Set and uphold data quality standards so operational and financial reporting can be trusted.
  • Telemetry Program Support: Support telemetry programs, such as remote tank level and chemical injection monitoring, including onboarding new sites, validating incoming data, and working with field teams and vendors to troubleshoot data issues.
  • Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Analyze operational, telemetry, and application data to identify trends and issues, and turn findings and user feedback into practical recommendations to improve business processes and application workflows.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years in oil and gas Production Services, in a field, technical service, or operations role.
  • Strong working knowledge of production chemicals and their applications (e.g., corrosion, scale, paraffin, emulsion, and H2S treatment), stimulation, and water chemistry.
  • Experience gathering requirements, documenting processes, or working with technical teams on software or system changes.
  • Diploma or degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent industry experience.

  • Adaptability: Thrives in a dynamic environment where there is no one-size-fits-all approach, adjusting to shifting priorities with ease.
