  • Perform periodic analysis of vendor performance and work with QA via PCI's vendor approval process
  • Resolve order issues, delays, and discrepancies directly with vendors while protecting the relationship

Inventory, Cost, and Budgeting

  • Review inventory at regular intervals to ensure stock levels in PCI's systems are accurate and adequate
  • Track project-related material costs and support cash flow visibility and project budgeting
  • Track status of orders and resolve purchase order errors as required

Systems and Process Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to use AI-assisted tools and process improvements to streamline purchasing and inventory administration
  • Lead improvements in purchasing, inventory, and logistics processes
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records across PCI's systems

Required Skills, Abilities and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems required; familiarity with ProShop ERP is an asset
  • Comfort with AI-assisted tools and genuine interest in using them to improve purchasing and administrative workflows
  • Strong communicator, comfortable building and maintaining vendor relationships at all levels
  • Solid understanding of cash flow and project budgeting as they relate to purchasing decisions
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft suite
  • Experience with AS9100 or ISO considered an asset
  • Knowledge of, or keen interest to learn, composites materials as they relate to project requirements
  • Awareness of and commitment to product safety, counterfeit parts prevention, ethical conduct, and personal contribution to product quality and safety in accordance with AS9100 Rev D
  • Continuing education supported by PCI upon approval

Working Conditions

Other conditions include:

  • Ability to work flexible hours and occasional overtime based on purchasing and project schedules
  • Sit for long periods of time at a desk. Occasional use of hands to handle materials or samples during shop floor visits
