█ ABOUT HF CARE

HF Care is a non-profit organization dedicated to championing culturally rooted mental healthcare for people from East and Southeast Asian communities in the Greater Toronto Area. Our work advances toward a vision of connected communities where every person can live their fullest, most meaningful life. Everything we do is grounded in our values—Belonging, Dignity, Courage, Hope, and Relations—including how we support the people who make our mission possible

█ ABOUT THE ROLE

Under the direction of the Manager, Psychotherapy, the Clinician will primarily be responsible for providing counselling services to East Asian youths and their families in the Counselling Clinic. This position will also support the Walk-In Counselling Clinic by providing evidence-based services.

As we continue to grow our clinical programs, direct client care remains at the heart of what we do. This is a hands-on, relationship-centered role for someone who wants to deliver culturally rooted, trauma-informed care and help shape how we support clients' mental health journeys — not just by delivering services, but by strengthening the quality and reach of care across our communities.

█ WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Complete any preparation required prior to the appointment, including reading relevant case notes.
  • Apply evidence-based assessment and treatment approaches, including Compassion focused Therapy, Strengths-based Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments as required with approval of Manager.
  • Complete counselling session notes and related documentation.
  • Participate in monthly clinical supervision.
  • Follow and comply with legislation and College standards.
  • Maintain good working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
