Your Team's Impact:

FactSet’s Metals & Mining Deep Sector Strategy is built around delivering critical data and analysis of fundamental information to its client base of mining specialists and analysts in investment banks, investment funds, wealth management, and mining corporates including both producers and exploration & development companies. We are undertaking an acceleration of our investment in the Metals & Mining sector and are aiming to have increased and expanded coverage of key mining sub-sectors and focus metals.

What You’ll Do:

As part of the expansion of our Deep Sector initiative, FactSet is currently looking for a Content/Research Manager of Metals & Mining to expand FactSet’s product offering in this sector. Additionally, you will be expected to have a significant impact both internally and externally, promoting your opinions and knowledge effectively with external and internal stakeholders. You must be skilled at working with matrixed teams and building relationships with senior leadership.

We are looking for someone with a strong quantitative background and a robust understanding of the Metals & Mining markets. You will be expected to stay current on industry developments and news, publish timely and relevant articles and insights tying such developments into FactSet’s suite of products, and be ready to both educate the team and help answer external questions.

  • Work closely with a variety of internal and external professionals to coordinate Metals & Mining data collection, research, and analytics across FactSet, ensuring alignment with the overall product strategy and roadmap.
  • Conduct research and analysis and build quantitative models that demonstrate the value of FactSet’s Metals & Mining content.
  • Responsible for Metals & Mining related thought leadership both internally and client-facing.
  • Collaborate closely with other product heads and thought leadership functions to build cross-sector content with value to both sector-specific and generalist workflows.
  • Engage directly with clients, especially high-value clients, to share research and hear feedback.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree, mining engineering or geology degree preferred
  • Mining/Resource background
  • 5 + years of experience in the Metals & Mining industry and capital markets
  • Experience in product and content development and management
  • Strong quantitative aptitude and qualitative reasoning and understanding of economic and financial statement analysis
  • Strong understanding of client workflows and FactSet client types
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and project management skills
  • Exceptional collaboration, organizational & communication skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with ability to see the big picture
