Our Family Loves to Farm and Produce Good Food!

Full company description

OUR FAMILY LOVES TO FARM AND PRODUCE GOOD FOOD. That’s our motto, but it’s not just words to us. We’ve farmed in the Fraser Valley for five generations. Being connected to the land, living together and working with our animals and fields – that’s what the good life means to us. It also means sharing the good food we grow, and seeing what other families create for their dinner table. FROM OUR FARM TO YOUR FAMILY. Everything is done on our farm, and sent straight to you. We take care of every aspect of raising top quality poultry From laying eggs, to raising chickens and ducks, to butchering, packaging, and shipping, everything is done from our farm. We call it “full circle” farming. When you order poultry from us, you know that everything was raised, processed, and packaged for you in the Fraser Valley, all at the same location at our family farm. We go above and beyond the rules and regulations for health and safety, including daily sanitation of our plant, sanitized work outfits for our employees, and training in hand-washing with the addition of protective gloves. BEST PRACTICES IN ANIMAL WELFARE. We control every step the goes into raising our specialty poultry, and we care about giving our flocks the best living conditions possible. When you allow your birds to thrive, the result is a top-quality product. Every detail is important to us. That’s why we feed our flocks Canadian whole grains raised by Canadian farmers, we provide fresh water direct from our aquifer (no city water for our birds), and lay down fresh wood-chip bedding. Every single kind of poultry we produce is free run, and enjoys spacious cage-free barns with plenty of natural light. There are no added hormones, animal byproducts in any of our poultry. The health of our birds are monitored constantly.

We take pride in a friendly, supportive, and team-oriented work environment where every team member is valued and plays a meaningful role in our day-to-day success. If you enjoy working with food, building relationships, and being part of a close-knit team — this is the place for you.

The Role

Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry is seeking an experienced and dedicated Delivery Driver to transport our products to customers, retailers, and distribution points across the Fraser. You'll be a key link between our operation and the customers who count on us for fresh, on-time deliveries.

  • Maintains reefer temperature below -4°C in transit and during any parked/transfer period
  • Documents and reports any cold chain deviation immediately in the Driver’s Log
  • Records delivery temperature on customer paperwork; ensures signed copy returns to the main office

Safe and Efficient Route Execution

  • Operates the vehicle safely and professionally, in accordance with BC driving laws
  • Manages routes to meet plant delivery schedules as efficiently as possible
  • Reports defects, accidents, or violations promptly

Vehicle Condition & Presentation

  • Keeps vehicle clean and ready-to-load at end of each shift.

Delivery Documentation & Compliance

  • Confirms deliveries, signatures, and payment handling (Including COD) via assigned handheld device
  • Follows FVSP biosecurity protocols where required

Customer Representative

  • Verifies order accuracy and product condition with customer at delivery
  • Ensures proper product placement at customer site
  • Addresses concerns on the spot where possible; escalates unresolved issues
  • Represents FVSP professionally at every point of contact

Coverage & Flex Support

  • Provides backup support to other staff during absences or short-staffed periods, as required

What We're Looking For

  • Valid BC Class 5 driver's license with air endorsement
  • Two years of delivery or commercial driving experience preferred
  • Comfortable lifting 30-50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift
  • Familiarity with food safety handling practices (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong time-management skills and a dependable, punctual work ethic
  • Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Ability to work early mornings
  • Comfortable working in a cold storage/refrigerated environment as needed

Why Join FVSP?

  • Work directly with a passionate, experienced team in the food industry
  • Family-run company with a long-standing reputation and loyal customer base
  • Meaningful role where your contributions make a direct daily impact
  • Real career pathways — we promote from within and invest in training.
  • Hands-on role where your attention to detail keeps customers happy and product safe.
  • A respectful, team-first culture that values a positive attitude and long-term fit.
  • Extended Health Benefits (Including, but not Limited to Chiropractors, Massage Therapy), Routine eye exam coverage, Dental, Life & Dependent Life insurance, Employee Assistance Program, Travel Insurance, Long Term Disability, and an annual Health/Lifestyle Spending Account).
  • Paid orientation
  • 20% discount at our retail store
  • A safe, food-safety focused workplace where teamwork matters.
  • Lunch items available at our retail store
  • “Tab” system at our onsite retail store for full-time employees

Relevant Experience: Any sort of food processing experience, forklift ticket, air ticket, WHMIS, food safe and first aid are all assets to this position but not required.
