These positions include a mix of weekend, daytime, and night shifts, with opportunities for additional shifts. Compensation is provided through a group service contract. These positions may also be eligible for Rural Program funding, adjudicated on a case‑by‑case basis by the Ministry of Health.

Squamish General Hospital serves a population of approximately 24,000 and operates a 13‑bed emergency department. The emergency physician also provides cross‑coverage for the acute medical inpatient unit and an adjoining long‑term care facility for urgent issues. The ED receives roughly 20,000 visits per year. The current schedule includes four single‑coverage physician shifts per day. Lab, CT Scanning, x‑ray, and ultrasound are available on site. We are looking for individuals passionate about delivering high‑quality emergency care in a rural setting and committed to ongoing skill development. Equivalent enhanced skills programs, such as the Nanaimo Emergency Education Program, will also be considered. Interested candidates are invited to submit a cover letter and curriculum vitae (CV).
