Job description

Knak is a mission-driven company

Why? Because our time is limited, our competition is fierce, and our margin for error is small. To have the biggest impact on the world, we stay focused on our core mission, which is...

Empowering marketers to be creative.

That’s why Knak exists.

In a world where AI has made everyone a creator, Knak helps marketers turn ideas into on-brand, high-performing campaigns at scale. The world's most AI-forward companies, including Meta, OpenAI, NVIDIA, Vercel, Notion and Stripe, use Knak as their agentic marketing production layer.

Here's what they and our investor Insight Partners figured out: creation got easy, but that’s making production harder. Every new idea and brief still has to be built, versioned, checked, approved, and shipped across every channel, and that work runs on handoffs, review cycles, and a lot of copy-paste. That middle stretch of the marketing stack has no system, no standard, and no owner.

Knak is the flexible factory for that work. Our customers set the brand rules, choose the tools that feed in and the platforms that send, and decide where AI does the work and where people do. We handle the repeatable parts, so marketers get their time back for the parts that aren't.

We're built by marketers, for marketers. We started with email because it's the hardest channel to get right and where many campaigns win or lose. Now we're bringing that same production discipline to every channel our customers use.

The Role

We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, AI-forward Employee Success Specialist to join our team.

In this role, you'll be the operational backbone of our People function, ensuring every stage of the employee lifecycle runs smoothly while helping create an exceptional employee experience. You'll partner with employees, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable people programs, maintain operational excellence, strengthen our employer brand, and continuously improve the way we work.

If you thrive at the intersection of people, systems, process improvement, and employee experience, we'd love to meet you.

Your Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day People Operations across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, HR systems, employee records, and policy administration.
  • Deliver an exceptional employee experience by providing timely support and coordinating key people programs and lifecycle events.
  • Support and grow Knak's employer brand through recruitment marketing, employee storytelling, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Create engaging internal communications using Knak's platform to keep employees informed, connected, and aligned.
  • Partner with the Office Manager to plan and execute employee events, culture initiatives, and engagement programs.
  • Maintain HR compliance by managing documentation, supporting audits, and ensuring adherence to employment legislation and company policies.
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and provide people reporting and insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Support recruitment during busy hiring periods and vacation coverage by coordinating interviews, candidate communications, and recruitment administration.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees, providing day-to-day HR guidance while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Continuously improve People Operations by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and leverage AI and automation.

What You Should Have

  • 3–5+ years of progressive experience in HR and/or People Operations, including 2–3 years in an HR Generalist, HR Manager, or HR Business Partner capacity within a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Strong experience with HRIS systems (BambooHR preferred) and data integrity management
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations cases
  • Working knowledge of Canadian employment standards and compliance requirements
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to balance critical thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with comfort interpreting People data and trends
  • Experience using AI tools and automation to improve workflows, documentation, reporting, or employee experience a strong asset

Base Salary: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. This range reflects base salary only and does not include other forms of compensation that may be available as part of the total rewards package.
