Family Support Workers provide individualized and group-based support, help families develop effective strategies, and connect caregivers with appropriate community resources and services. The program is focused on promoting family well-being, enhancing caregiver capacity, and supporting children and youth to remain connected within safe and supportive family environments.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Family Support Worker provides direct, relevant support services for parents and caregivers (and children and youth within the context of the family). The Program provides consultation for families to assist and guide them in the development of effective behaviour management techniques and promote healthy adult-child and youth relationships, bridge-transitions, and stabilize home placements for children and youth.
