You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working across departments to solve challenges, improve processes, and bring new products to life. You're equally comfortable conducting product trials, analyzing results, and preparing technical documentation.

Organized, adaptable, and solutions-focused, you bring a continuous improvement mindset and aren't afraid to explore new ideas or challenge the status quo.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support product development from initial concept through formulation, testing, trials, and commercialization.

  • Develop and maintain product specifications, formulations, and technical documentation.

  • Research new ingredients, technologies, and opportunities for product innovation.
  • Support Ganong's Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) program through technical research, data collection, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Operations to troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and support the successful transition of new products into production.
  • Identify and support process improvements that enhance product quality, efficiency, and reduce waste.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance, Sales, suppliers, and customers to support product development and resolve technical inquiries.
  • Ensure product development activities align with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field required.
  • 2–3 years of experience in food research and development, product development, or quality assurance within a food manufacturing environment considered an asset.
  • Understanding of Canadian and U.S. food regulations and food safety standards.
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, product formulation, and ingredient functionality.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
