Job description

We’re looking for board-certified internists (ACVIM, ECVIM) who can work 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm EST at least one day a week, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. This is a fully remote, part-time role, independent contractor or part-time employee options possible.

The IDEXX Telemedicine team provides specialist consultations to veterinarians around the world. Our consultants partner with general practitioners to turn ultrasounds, histories, and lab results into clear answers they can act on.

In this role:

  • You’ll interpret ultrasounds, patient history, and laboratory results to provide diagnostic information to our customers.
  • You’ll use our reporting platform to read cases and dictate your reports.
  • Your evening shifts will help veterinarians and pet owners make well-informed decisions about their animals’ care.
  • You’ll have 24-hour specialist and IT support available whenever you need it.

Why this role matters:

You’ll help veterinarians feel confident in their next step and help pet owners get answers sooner. • You communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken.
  • You have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • You’re analytical, can prioritize, and enjoy problem-solving.
  • You care about helping people and pets.

Independent contractor requirements:

(Applies if you’re joining as an independent contractor.)

  • You have an active LLC or equivalent legal business entity in your country of residence.
  • You maintain your own professional liability insurance coverage appropriate for the services you provide.

What you can expect from us:

  • This role is fully remote, with a minimum of one evening shift per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm EST).
  • Work from almost anywhere in the world. IDEXX offers employment contracts in 30+ countries, with a wide range of local benefits.
  • Flexible, part-time hours that fit around your other commitments.
  • 24-hour specialist and IT support.
  • Opportunities for peer collaboration, educational outreach, and career development.
