The expected annual salary range for this role is $144000 - $181000 a year.

Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

The IT Operations Business Relationship Manager (BRM) serves as the primary IT business partner for Electrical Sector PCS plant leadership across the U.S. and Canada. This role translates business strategy and operational priorities into reliable, digitally enabled solutions that improve plant performance, stability, and efficiency.

The BRM drives operational excellence by applying Lean and Six Sigma principles to business processes, technology adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role ensures technology investments deliver measurable business value while supporting reliable shop-floor operations across the PCS U.S./Canada region.

As a trusted advisor and the day-to-day IT partner for plant managers and operations leaders, the BRM drives plant-level IT execution and alignment between business and technology priorities. The role also owns the integrity of the digital thread across platforms, enabling seamless end-to-end data flow, greater visibility, and data-driven decision-making across the business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for IT outcomes supporting PCS U.S. and Canada operations across manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, quality, commercial, and service functions.
  • Own technology-enabled operational outcomes across PCS plants, ensuring IT investments and solutions improve productivity, quality, reliability, customer experience, and overall business performance.
  • Drive operational efficiency, stability, and scalability by applying Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement principles to digital workflows and technology-enabled processes. Maintain a strong presence in manufacturing facilities and on the shop floor to develop a deep understanding of operational challenges, business priorities, and opportunities for process improvement and digital enablement.
  • Maintain the integrity of the digital thread by ensuring alignment and data continuity across design, manufacturing, supply chain, commercial, and service systems, enabling end-to-end visibility, traceability, and data-driven decision-making across the value chain.
  • Drive plant-level IT execution across ERP, MES, shop-floor technologies, infrastructure, cybersecurity, end-user computing, and operational technology environments to support business objectives and operational continuity.
  • Proactively identify, triage, escalate, and drive resolution of IT issues affecting plant performance, manufacturing execution, data integrity, customer commitments, or business continuity.
  • Collaborate with Plant Managers, operations leaders, SIS resources, and finance partners to evaluate technology investments and provide recommendations that support annual profit planning, operational contribution targets, and strategic business objectives.
  • Develop and defend business cases, including Capital Authorization Requests (CARs), funding requests, budgets, operational contribution (OC) commitments, ROI analyses, and benefits realization plans to secure appropriate investment and resources.
  • Partner with PCS leadership to identify, qualify, and prioritize business demand based on strategic alignment, operational and digital impact, value realization, and expected business outcomes. Translate regional and plant requirements into prioritized PCS portfolio roadmaps that improve performance, efficiency, and growth.
  • Collaborate with Capability Leaders, Program Managers, architects, and delivery teams to define scope, engage stakeholders, establish accountability for key milestones, and ensure operational readiness, solution stability, business adoption, and supportability. Ensure delivered capabilities achieve expected business value and return on investment.
  • Partner with global IT delivery teams to support plant implementations, solution deployments, infrastructure upgrades, operational improvements, and digital transformation initiatives across the PCS footprint.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture and delivery teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards, cybersecurity requirements, data governance principles, and long-term technology strategy while addressing business and operational needs.
  • Identify and eliminate redundant, non-standard, or low-value solutions that increase operational complexity, support costs, or technical debt.
  • Serve as an active member of the Digital Governance Council (DGC), contributing to governance, portfolio prioritization, investment decisions, execution oversight, and alignment between business strategy and technology initiatives.
  • Escalate and drive resolution of systemic technology issues affecting operational performance, customer experience, business continuity, or data integrity.

Qualifications:

Basic (required) Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in IT, digital, or operational experience, including senior accountability for large‑scale, cross‑business or multi‑region initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting manufacturing plant or operations IT environments.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP (SAP/Oracle ebiz/Mapics), MES, and manufacturing execution systems in an industrial environment.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.

  • Ability to travel to the United States when required.

  • No relocation assistance is provided.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification, with demonstrated application in manufacturing, technology, or business transformation environments.
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations across the U.S. and Canada, preferably within industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading digital transformation, Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, or connected-factory initiatives with measurable business and operational outcomes.
  • Experience leading ERP, MES, and manufacturing technology implementations, integrations, upgrades, or modernization programs.
  • Advanced to subject matter expert-level knowledge of enterprise platforms, system architecture, and integrations, with a strong understanding of how system design and data flows impact operational performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Advanced knowledge of IT and digital technology trends, with demonstrated ability to apply emerging capabilities to strengthen enterprise operating models, resilience, and growth.

Skills:

  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnership skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence plant, divisional, and senior leaders across functions and regions.
  • Strong business and operational acumen, with an understanding of manufacturing environments and the ability to connect technology investments to operational performance and business outcomes.
