Job description
About Xanadu:

Xanadu’s mission is to build quantum computers that are useful and available to people everywhere.

At Xanadu, we are learners, innovators, researchers, collaborators and problem solvers. We are creating something that has never been built before. What we are doing is extremely hard, the classic moon shot. Few people in their life will be able to be a part of something like this, where if we are successful, the technologies we develop will solve some of the world’s most challenging problems, and literally change the world. And that is something to be excited about!

We are looking for a creative, strategic, and highly proactive Manager, Executive Social Media & Content to build and lead the social media presence of Xanadu's CEO. This is an opportunity to shape the public voice and personal brand of a CEO operating at the forefront of one of the world's most exciting technology sectors. You will develop a compelling social media strategy that elevates the CEO's profile, strengthens Xanadu's brand, expands our reach, and positions both the CEO and Xanadu as influential voices in the global quantum computing ecosystem.

Your role and responsibilities:

Executive Social Media Strategy & Brand Building
  • Develop and own the CEO's overarching social media strategy, establishing a distinctive voice, content pillars, audience strategy, and publishing cadence.
  • Build and scale the CEO's presence across key social platforms—principally LinkedIn and X—while evaluating emerging platforms and interactive formats.
  • Position the CEO as an authoritative thought leader across quantum computing, deep tech, innovation, entrepreneurship, and the broader business landscape.
  • Create a cohesive strategy connecting the CEO's personal brand with Xanadu's corporate brand to drive awareness, engagement, and referral traffic to Xanadu's digital ecosystem.
  • Identify real-time opportunities to insert the CEO into trending industry dialogues, breaking news, and policy conversations to expand audience reach.

Content Creation & Storytelling
  • Own multi-format content creation end-to-end, including copywriting, photography, video production, graphic design, and short-form social assets.
  • Craft engaging, authentic posts that reflect the CEO's true leadership style, personal insights, and strategic vision.
  • Translate complex quantum computing breakthroughs, corporate milestones, research papers, and industry developments into accessible, compelling content.
  • Capture and produce dynamic real-time content from keynotes, press interviews, announcements, and global industry conferences.
  • Pioneer creative storytelling formats such as behind-the-scenes footage, executive commentary, video interviews, and event recap reels.
  • Manage a structured, proactive content calendar while maintaining the agility needed to capitalize on breaking news and spontaneous moments.

Events & Executive Engagement
  • Accompany the CEO to industry conferences, speaking engagements, investor gatherings, and customer events to capture live content and uncover storytelling angles.
  • Architect pre-, during-, and post-event content plans to sustain momentum and maximize engagement around appearances.
  • Identify high-impact opportunities for the CEO to network and engage digitally with influential founders, investors, researchers, and policymakers.
  • Build relationships with event organizers, media partners, and industry creators to amplify the reach of executive appearances.

Performance & Audience Growth
  • Establish and monitor measurable KPIs spanning audience growth, engagement rates, impressions, earned media value, and web referral traffic.
  • Continuously optimize content formats and publishing strategies through regular performance analysis and testing.
  • Stay ahead of social media platform algorithms, evolving features, and industry best practices.
  • Ensure executive branding directly reinforces Xanadu’s wider communications, recruitment, and commercial priorities.

Basic qualifications and experience:
  • 5–8+ years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, executive communications, or content strategy.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and managing the executive profile/social media presence of a CEO, founder, or high-profile public figure.
  • A portfolio showcasing executive social strategy, measurable audience growth, high-performing copy, and multimedia production.
  • Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editorial capabilities with a proven knack for capturing an executive’s authentic voice.
  • Hands-on content production skills across short-form video, photography, and graphic creation using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar platforms.
  • In-depth expertise in LinkedIn and X algorithms, audience dynamics, and distribution mechanics.
  • High discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism when working directly alongside executive leadership.
  • Strong self-direction, organizational discipline, and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced deep-tech environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel for conferences, events, and real-time content capture alongside the CEO.

Preferred qualifications and experience:
  • Prior experience within quantum computing, artificial intelligence, deep tech, or complex B2B technology environments.
  • Experience operating within a high-growth startup, scaleup, or venture-backed company.
  • Background in journalism, public relations, executive ghostwriting, or digital investigative storytelling.
  • Established network or relationships across tech media, venture capital, scientific research, or innovation communities.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize deep scientific or mathematical concepts into digestible, viral content for broad audiences.
