  • Employer-paid retirement savings program, including 5% AMA contribution and 5% matching.
  • Employee-exclusive discounts on travel, insurance, memberships, driver education, registry services, and more.
  • Free travel medical insurance for you and your immediate family.
  • Ongoing professional development, with unlimited learning opportunities, and dedicated time for personal growth.
  • Paid vacation and personal days, including three weeks of vacation to start, a Me Day, a Volunteer Day, and the option to purchase additional vacation time.
  • Flexible work models that make sense for your lifestyle.

Who You Are

  • You’re a skilled financial professional with a deep knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • You’re comfortable supporting multiple business units and adapting your financial leadership approach to the operational needs, financial drivers, and priorities of each area.
  • You thrive in a leadership role, coaching and developing a team while fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
  • You’re highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy, integrity, and continuous process improvement.
  • You’re a clear and confident communicator who can distill financial complexity for executives and operational teams alike.
  • You have the ability to connect business-unit budgeting and forecasting with centralized financial planning and analysis, helping leaders understand performance, opportunities, and risks.
  • You’re proactive in identifying risks, opportunities, and trends, and you have the analytical skill to back up your recommendations.
  • You lead by example and live the values of TYLF (Treat You Like Family).

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Produce accurate, complete, and timely financial statements and management reporting, ensuring financial information adheres to IFRS and company policies, and continually improving period-end processes for integrity and efficiency.
  • Coordinate the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data in adherence with reporting timelines; review variance analysis and provide insights into financial results.
  • Support the preparation of period-end reporting, ad-hoc reports, and liaise with internal and external auditors.
  • Oversee financial controls and adherence to accounting standards, developing and refining accounting controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure staff are trained to identify and prevent fraud.
  • Monitor financial performance including revenue, expenses, capital expenditures, and cash flow; contribute financial insights and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Provide financial leadership and support to multiple business units, helping operational leaders understand their financial performance, manage risks, and make informed business decisions.
  • Support accounting operations including cash and banking activities, retail and inventory processes, accounts payable, and accounts receivable; working with operational teams to strengthen controls, improve processes, coach staff, and ensure transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with policy.
  • Lead the budget and forecast process for designated business units while overseeing centralized budget requirements, consolidating financial insights, evaluating trends, contributing to the overall budget, and supporting integrated planning and decision-making across the organization.
  • Identify, document, and analyze financial system issues and opportunities for improvement; represent the Finance unit on project committees and maintain detailed understanding of system integration and process flows.
  • Oversee account reconciliation, correct errors, and determine root causes to ensure accurate financial system operations.
  • Hire, train, develop, coach, and manage staff; foster a team environment that aligns with AMA values and supports individual learning and career plans.
  • Act as the Finance subject matter expert for various technology and business improvement projects, providing exceptional customer service to internal business units.

What You Bring to the Table

  • You hold a professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent).
  • You bring a minimum of ten years of accounting experience with progressive levels of responsibility, including preferably two or more years in a supervisory role.
  • You have proven experience in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and year-end working papers.
  • You’re experienced with accounting systems and have a strong aptitude for financial technology.
  • You bring strong communication, team-building, and facilitation skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage changing priorities and collaborate with cross-functional groups.
