  • Translate customer drawings, specifications, and requirements into practical manufacturing solutions
  • Collaborate with Operations, Process Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve production challenges
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE, downtime, productivity, and manufacturing costs
  • Support improvements to manufacturing processes, tooling, equipment, and automation
  • Partner with customers to address technical challenges and improve product manufacturability

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 2 years of formal people-management experience leading engineering or technical teams
  • Strong knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and PCB/PCBA manufacturing is essential
  • Experience supporting NPI, manufacturing process development, and production launches
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop technical employees
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, MES, PLM, or ERP systems considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams
  • Proactive, hands-on leadership style with the ability to work independently
  • Must be eligible for Controlled Goods Program clearance and able to work on-site in Burnaby

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Competitive base salary: $120,000 to $150,000, depending on experience
  • Performance-based annual bonus, paid quarterly
  • RRSP matching program and comprehensive employee benefits
  • Opportunity to lead an established engineering team within a growing international organization
