Job Description

Our Fortune 100 financial services client is seeking a Manager of Marketing Planning & Delivery to support their banking partner, a large Canadian national bank. This role will help drive marketing campaigns from planning through delivery, coordinating creative development, stakeholders, approvals, and overall project execution within a complex, highly regulated environment.

The Details:

  • Location: Downtown Toronto, ON (3 days per week onsite required)
  • Duration: Approximately a 10-month consulting project with the possibility of extension (must be able to work on Blend’s W2 without requiring employer sponsorship)
  • Benefits: We do offer benefits to our full-time consultants, including Health, Vision, Dental, 401K plan, Life Insurance, Pretax Commuter Benefits, and an incredibly supportive team cheering you on!

What you’ll do:

Campaign & Creative Project Management

  • Drive end-to-end marketing campaign delivery from planning and briefing through creative development, review, approval, and execution.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and approval workflows across multiple concurrent campaigns and workstreams.
  • Coordinate effectively across marketing, product, creative, execution, and analytics teams to keep campaigns moving forward and ensure deliverables are completed on time.
  • Partner with internal creative teams and external agencies to develop campaign assets and ensure work progresses efficiently through each stage of production.
  • Brief creative teams and agencies with clear objectives, requirements, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Manage creative review and revision cycles, consolidating feedback and ensuring final deliverables meet campaign objectives and brand standards.
  • Perform final creative quality assurance prior to execution, with strong attention to detail across messaging, content, formatting, brand alignment, and required approvals.

Stakeholder Management & Influence

  • Build strong relationships across a highly matrixed organization and effectively navigate multiple layers of review and approval.
  • Coordinate stakeholders across marketing, product, creative, analytics, execution, compliance, and other business functions to maintain alignment throughout the campaign lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify roadblocks, competing priorities, and potential delays and develop solutions to keep workstreams on track.
  • Facilitate productive conversations when stakeholder feedback is conflicting, unclear, or potentially impacts campaign objectives or timelines.
  • Bring confidence and sound judgment to stakeholder discussions, including the ability to constructively challenge feedback when appropriate.
  • Maintain clear communication around project status, decisions, action items, risks, dependencies, and next steps.

Marketing Planning & Execution

  • Support the planning and execution of customer engagement marketing programs and campaigns across multiple channels and touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with marketing and customer journey teams to translate business objectives and customer needs into actionable campaign plans.
  • Coordinate campaign development across multiple workstreams while ensuring alignment to broader marketing priorities.
  • Support the development and deployment of creative assets while ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and visual identity standards.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve campaign processes, workflows, and delivery efficiency within a complex corporate environment.
  • Maintain strong project documentation and follow-through to ensure accountability across internal teams and external partners.

Data-Informed Marketing

  • Partner with analytics teams to understand campaign performance, customer insights, and opportunities for future marketing activity.
  • Review dashboards and marketing performance data to understand key trends and insights.
  • Translate data and analytics findings into actionable recommendations for campaign planning and marketing strategy.
  • Use customer, campaign, and performance insights to help identify opportunities for new or enhanced marketing campaigns.
  • This role requires data literacy rather than technical analytics expertise; SQL, Python, data engineering, or software development experience is not required.

Risk, Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure campaign execution follows applicable brand, regulatory, compliance, and risk requirements.
  • Navigate complex approval processes and ensure appropriate stakeholders review and approve campaign materials before execution.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accountability in a regulated financial services environment.
  • Support effective day-to-day operations and adherence to applicable business controls and risk management practices.

  • Experience working within a large, complex, or highly regulated organization.
  • Financial services experience, particularly within banking or credit cards, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting financial services clients within a creative agency environment is also highly relevant.
  • Experience with lifecycle marketing, customer journey initiatives, next-best-action strategies, or trigger-based campaigns is a plus.

Project & Marketing Skills

  • Strong creative project management and campaign delivery skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience briefing internal creative teams or external agencies and managing work through multiple rounds of review and approval.

  • Exposure to Agile methodologies or similar project management approaches is a plus.

Stakeholder & Communication Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, particularly within a matrixed organization.
