Who we are:

Dauphin Co-op is a locally owned, member-owned co-operative serving our communities through food, home and building solutions, petroleum and agricultural products and services. Our success supports local investment and the members who own our business.

Dauphin Consumers Co-op Ltd. employs 200 team members serving 13,670 members in Dauphin and Ste Rose du Lac, and surrounding communities, through the provision of services and goods in the areas of food, home and building solutions, petroleum and lubricants, and agricultural supplies and equipment including fertilizer and anhydrous ammonia. To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at www.dauphinco-op.crs.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the Co-op brand. Maintain consistent branding and messaging across advertising, signage, promotional materials, digital channels and community activities.

  • Deliver effective campaigns. Lead campaigns from concept and creative development through launch and evaluation. Coordinate advertising, content, suppliers and operational teams to deliver accurate work on time and within budget.

  • Grow digital and member engagement. Oversee social media, website content, email marketing and digital advertising. Develop member offers and initiatives that encourage membership, repeat business and shopping across our divisions.

  • Build community relationships. Develop partnerships with local organizations, Indigenous communities, schools and business groups. Coordinate donations, sponsorships, fundraising and volunteer initiatives within approved budgets and policies.

  • Plan events and community participation. Coordinate promotions, member activities and Co-op’s presence at community events, including logistics, communications, team involvement and follow-up.

  • Lead communications. Create engaging stories and clear communications about our products, people and community impact. Coordinate media enquiries and approved messaging with designated leaders and partner with HR on recruitment and employee recognition communications.

  • Develop the Marketing team. Provide direction, coaching and performance feedback, establish clear priorities and support skill development. Work collaboratively with internal teams, FCL and external partners.

  • Measure and improve results. Use market research, member insights and campaign data to assess effectiveness, improve future activity and make informed recommendations. Manage spending and report on marketing and community investment outcomes.

What you bring:

  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, business or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications or community relations, including leading campaigns, managing budgets and leading people or projects.

  • Strong writing, editing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly to members, customers, team members and community partners.

  • Practical experience with social media, email marketing, website content, digital advertising and creative production tools.

  • The ability to interpret campaign results and customer or member information and turn that information into practical marketing decisions.

  • Strong organization, judgment and follow-through, with the ability to manage competing priorities and build effective working relationships.

  • Experience with community partnerships, sponsorships or events. Retail, co-operative or multi-location business experience would be an asset.

  • The ability to travel between our locations and participate in occasional evening or weekend events.

Experience with MicroStrategy, Membership 360 or other customer insight tools is an asset. We value the ability to learn our systems and apply sound marketing judgment.
