Marketing Director

Department: Marketing

Work Location: Accepting applicants from across Canada, with primary team locations in Calgary and Vancouver. Work arrangements, including remote or hybrid, will be determined based on the candidate's location, role requirements, and operational needs.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $80-90k CAD

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. We are unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this position.

About Us:

Vitalist Inc. is the exclusive brand licensee for Reebok smartwatches in the Americas. We operate at the intersection of wearable technology, connected devices, and digital health.

Our business spans consumer, retail, enterprise, and healthcare markets, from connected wearable products distributed through retail and e-commerce channels to health-focused solutions supporting remote monitoring, connected care, and clinical programs.

At the center of our technology ecosystem is VitalOS™, our wearable operating system designed to connect hardware, software, applications, and intelligent data experiences across devices and brands.

In 2026, Vitalist expanded into digital health through the acquisition of Somatix, now Vitalist Health, a wholly owned subsidiary focused on connected care and remote patient monitoring. The integration brings together Vitalist's wearable technology and platform capabilities with Vitalist Health's expertise in passive monitoring, gesture recognition, behavioral and physiologic insights, and healthcare applications.

Together, Vitalist and Vitalist Health are building a connected ecosystem that can serve a wide range of needs, from consumer fitness and wellness to enterprise applications and clinical care.

About the Role:

As Marketing Director, you will lead marketing strategy and execution across Vitalist's consumer, retail, enterprise, and healthcare businesses, including the Vitalist Health portfolio.

This role requires someone who understands both consumer marketing and B2B healthcare marketing. You will help build demand for connected consumer products and retail programs while also developing the positioning, content, and go-to-market programs needed to support healthcare organizations, clinical partners, and other B2B customers.

You will work closely with Sales, Product, Clinical, and leadership teams to turn wearable technology, software, AI, and health-related capabilities into clear and compelling messaging for different audiences. This may include retail shoppers, e-commerce customers, healthcare providers, administrators, care organizations, clinical partners, and enterprise decision-makers.

As Vitalist and Vitalist Health continue to grow together, you will help establish a consistent marketing approach across the businesses while making sure each product and audience has clear and relevant positioning.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will be involved in developing strategy, creating and reviewing messaging, managing campaigns, working with agencies and partners, reviewing performance, supporting product launches, and building marketing processes that can scale with the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead marketing strategy across Vitalist's consumer, retail, enterprise, and healthcare businesses.
  • Build integrated campaigns across relevant channels, including digital, paid media, content, email, retail, e-commerce, partnerships, and events.
  • Lead consumer brand and retail marketing programs, including product positioning, campaigns, e-commerce content, and retail partner support.
  • Develop B2B healthcare marketing programs that build awareness, credibility, qualified demand, and sales opportunities.
  • Translate technical, AI, wearable, and clinical capabilities into clear messaging for consumer, professional, and business audiences.
  • Develop positioning, content, presentations, case studies, and sales enablement materials to support marketing and business development.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Clinical, and Legal/Regulatory teams on campaigns, product launches, messaging, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Manage marketing budgets, external agencies and partners, and marketing performance reporting.
  • Build and improve marketing processes, calendars, and playbooks that support product launches, partnerships, and growth across the business.
  • Lead and mentor the marketing team and coordinate the work of external creative, media, influencers, and other marketing partners.
  • Monitor market and customer trends and use those insights to inform marketing priorities.

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

  • 7+ years of progressive marketing experience, with experience across consumer/retail and B2B healthcare or health-tech marketing.
  • Experience developing marketing strategy and campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Strong understanding of consumer brand, retail, e-commerce, and/or DTC marketing.
  • Experience marketing to healthcare, health-tech, or other professional and enterprise audiences.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
  • Experience developing positioning, campaigns, sales enablement materials, and go-to-market programs.
  • Experience managing budgets, external partners, and marketing performance.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and experience working with Sales, Product, and other business teams.
  • Leadership experience, whether managing a team, agencies, contractors, or a combination.
  • A hands-on approach and the ability to balance strategic planning with execution.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with wearables, connected devices, consumer electronics, or digital health.
  • Experience with remote patient monitoring or healthcare technology.
  • Experience working with retail or marketplace partnerships.
  • Experience developing influencer, creator, ambassador, or thought-leadership programs.

Benefits:

  • Flexible time off to support rest, personal needs, travel, and volunteering.
  • Health care, EAP and dental benefits.
  • A workplace that values employee well-being, mental health, and a respectful, inclusive environment.
  • Opportunity to shape marketing strategy across consumer, retail, enterprise, and healthcare markets.
  • Exposure to wearable technology, connected devices, AI, and digital health.
  • Opportunity to work across retail, e-commerce, DTC, B2B, and healthcare channels.
  • Direct collaboration with Sales, Product, Clinical, and leadership teams.
  • Opportunity to build and develop marketing programs, processes, and a growing team.
  • Team building opportunities and a collaborative work environment.
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a growing global business and help shape how emerging technology reaches consumers, businesses, and healthcare organizations.
