About the Organization

ParticipACTION is a national non-profit organization dedicated to helping people in Canada be more physically active. We work with partners, communities, and organizations across the country to promote the benefits of physical activity and help create a more active Canada. Our marketing team plays an important role in bringing this work to life, developing campaigns and content, building partnerships, engaging audiences, and finding creative ways to encourage people to move.

  • Support marketing partnerships by helping with research, brainstorming, communications, and coordination.
  • Assist with coordinating campaign and project activities, including organizing information, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Help track marketing activities and gather information to support campaign and project reporting.
  • Research trends, audiences, and other topics that may help inform marketing ideas and strategies.
  • Provide general administrative and project support to the marketing team.
  • Take on additional marketing projects and responsibilities as opportunities arise.

Qualifications and skills

  • Currently enrolled in a marketing, communications, or related post-secondary program.
  • A genuine interest in marketing and a desire to gain practical, real-world experience.
  • An interest in ParticipACTION's mission and in the role marketing can play in creating positive social impact.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively and asking questions when guidance is needed.
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Experience with social media, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other marketing tools is an asset, but not required.

Duration: January- April 2027
