Are you a driven, people-first communicator who thrives in a fast-paced sales environment? As a Member Sales Representative (MSR-Sales), you will be a key part of AMA's Consolidated Contact Centre (CCC), where you'll connect with members and prospective members daily to help them find the right memberships, products, and services. This role blends consultative sales, member service, and multi-queue flexibility, making it ideal for someone who is energized by hitting targets, building relationships, and contributing to a team that genuinely cares about Albertans.

Together, we help protect the things that matter most to our more than one-million members—everything from roadside safety to retail savings, food security to childhood well-being. And with operations that span automotive, registries, travel, insurance and more, the opportunities to grow with us are almost limitless!
For us, curiosity fuels innovation. We value people who are eager to explore new ideas and who are comfortable putting emerging technologies into practice. We see experience with AI‑powered tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, and similar platforms as a real plus - especially when it’s used to work smarter, increase efficiency, and find better ways to get things done.

Building on a century of proud service in Alberta communities, we’re passionate about making a meaningful difference in the places where we live and work. And that all begins with our people. As part of the AMA team, you’ll enjoy:

  • Competitive salary and flexible benefits, with five packages to choose from and up to $3,000 in health and wellness spending accounts.
  • Employer-paid retirement savings program, including 5% AMA contribution and 5% matching.
  • Employee-exclusive discounts on travel, insurance, memberships, driver education, registry services, and more.
  • Free travel medical insurance for you and your immediate family.
  • Ongoing professional development, with unlimited learning opportunities, LinkedIn Learning Access, and dedicated time for personal growth.
  • Vacation earnings paid out with each pay period.

Who You Are

  • A driven sales professional who is motivated by achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Confident and resilient when handling objections and rejection: you see challenges as opportunities.

  • Solutions-focused and resourceful, with the ability to quickly identify member needs and recommend the right products and services.
  • A collaborative team player who contributes positively to team performance and a supportive work culture.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to process transactions accurately and navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously.
  • Committed to delivering a friendly, professional member experience that reflects AMA's 'Practically Family' culture.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Drive membership acquisition and retention by managing outbound calling activities and achieving established sales, conversion, and retention targets.
  • Conduct consultative, needs-based conversations to identify member needs and recommend the most appropriate AMA memberships, products, and services.
  • Handle inbound and outbound member interactions professionally, following established service, sales, and quality standards.
  • Promote and enroll members in value-added products and services, including Auto Renew, AMA Gift Cards, eBill, and membership upgrades.
  • Manage follow-up activities to ensure timely outreach, maximize conversion opportunities, and enhance the member experience.
  • Identify and resolve member concerns effectively or escalate issues appropriately to ensure a positive member experience.
  • Support members with online account access and digital self-service tools.
  • Flex between queues based on call volume, service levels, and operational requirements to support CCC service delivery.
  • Maintain accuracy when processing transactions and using membership systems and contact centre tools.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas that enhance member experience, sales performance, and operational effectiveness.
