Partner Relationship Manager

Location: Vancouver, BC

Full-Time/ In-office role

Department: Partnerships

About VoPay International Inc.

VoPay’s Fintech-as-a-Service platform allows any business to embed financial services and payment capabilities into their existing applications, products, or services through a single, scalable API. Our integrated technology enables product managers and developers to build innovative financial products with flexibility and speed.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded Partner Relationship Manager to manage and grow our existing partner portfolio.

This role focuses on building strong relationships, increasing partner engagement, driving product adoption and identifying opportunities for organic revenue growth. You will oversee the partner relationship from onboarding and activation through ongoing account development, business reviews and contract renewals.

This is not a traditional sales or business development role. We are looking for someone who thrives on developing existing relationships, understands the commercial value of a partnership and takes ownership of partner success and performance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, polished and professional, with the confidence to engage senior executives and the initiative to turn relationships into measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner Relationship Management

  • Own and manage an established portfolio of referral, reseller and platform partners, acting as their primary relationship contact.
  • Support onboarding of new partners and partner accounts end-to-end.
  • Own growth revenue targets tied to referral, reseller, and technology partnerships.
  • Lead partner onboarding, training and enablement, coordinating with internal teams to support successful activation.
  • Conduct regular partner checkpoints, quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and performance discussions to strengthen relationships and identify evolving business needs.
  • Proactively engage dormant or underperforming partners to restore activity, improve engagement and unlock growth opportunities.
  • Manage partner retention and contract renewals, including commercial discussions, renewal planning and risk identification.
  • Coordinate internal resources to address partner escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Conduct detailed reporting and analysis on partnership health, adoption, and revenue performance.
  • Resolve partner/customer escalations by identifying root causes and collaborating with technical teams for solutions.
  • Problem-solve and troubleshoot client issues with speed, empathy, and deliberation.

Commercial Growth & Partner Development

  • Drive organic revenue growth through account expansion, cross selling, upselling, increased transaction volumes and product adoption.
  • Identify and develop growth opportunities within existing partnerships, working closely with Sales and Account Management to progress commercial opportunities.
  • Promote and drive adoption of new VoPay products across the existing partner portfolio.
  • Support the creation of partner documentation and enablement, ensuring partners have access to the most up-to-date product information and training.
  • Engage referral partners to generate qualified introductions and increase referral activity.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on partner campaigns, communications, educational initiatives and enablement materials.

Portfolio Reporting & Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate partner records, engagement activities, opportunities and renewal information in HubSpot.
  • Monitor partner revenue, transaction activity and portfolio performance, providing weekly reporting on growth, opportunities and areas requiring attention.
  • Work closely with Sales, Product, Implementation, Account Management and Support to coordinate partner requirements, feedback and ongoing success.
  • Develop and maintain clear partner account plans, engagement schedules and follow up actions to ensure consistent portfolio management.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Partner Relationship Management, Enterprise Account Management, Customer Success or a similar B2B relationship focused role.
  • Proven experience managing and growing an existing portfolio, with demonstrated success in retention, revenue expansion and account development.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage senior executives and enterprise stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify opportunities, navigate commercial discussions and drive measurable results.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive, with excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple relationships independently.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience using HubSpot or a comparable CRM platform.
  • Collaborative, resourceful and comfortable working in a fast paced technology environment.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, financial services, SaaS or enterprise technology is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with referral, reseller or platform partnership models is an advantage.

Compensation

$90,000 CAD base salary, plus performance bonuses with earning potential of up to $135,000 CAD OTE, based on experience and performance.
