Role and Facility Information

We are hiring a permanent, full time Primary Care Physiotherapist at South Similkameen Health Centre located in Keremeos, B.C.

Days of Work: Monday to Friday
Shift times: 08:30 to 16:30

What we offer:
We provide a comprehensive, competitive, and people focused employment package, emphasizing wellness, growth, work–life balance, and long-term stability. Locations that qualify for B.C. Student Loan Forgiveness Program and/or Canada Student Loan Forgiveness. Applicable positions may qualify for up to $20,000 as a recruitment incentive and/or be eligible for relocation allowance.

About this position:
South Similkameen Health Centre is a collaborative primary care clinic where healthcare professionals work together to deliver client-centred and culturally safe care to the residents of the South Similkameen region. The clinic brings together family physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, and physiotherapists within an integrated care model that supports the health and wellness needs of registered patients.

In this role, the Physiotherapist is a valuable part of the Primary Care Network (PCN), providing the opportunity to work at the forefront of team-based community healthcare. As a Primary Care Physiotherapist, you will collaborate closely with primary care providers and allied health professionals to improve access to rehabilitation services, promote early intervention, and support patients in achieving their functional goals. The position emphasizes proactive, preventative, and evidence-informed care, helping patients manage both acute and chronic conditions while improving overall quality of life.

This role offers the benefits of rural healthcare practice, including greater autonomy, strong interdisciplinary relationships, and the opportunity to make a visible impact within a close-knit community. Physiotherapists who enjoy relationship-based care, community engagement, and helping patients achieve long-term health and wellness goals will find this an exceptionally rewarding practice environment.

About this location:
Keremeos offers a peaceful, small-town lifestyle surrounded by the stunning beauty of the Similkameen Valley. Known as the “Fruit Stand Capital of Canada,” the community is celebrated for its orchards, vineyards, local markets, and warm climate, making it an ideal destination for those who enjoy fresh local food and a connection to nature. Residents enjoy an abundance of outdoor recreation, including hiking, cycling, fishing, golfing, and exploring the nearby mountains, rivers, and provincial parks. With a close-knit and welcoming community, minimal commute times, and a slower pace of life, Keremeos provides an exceptional work-life balance. Its central location between Penticton and the Lower Mainland also offers convenient access to larger centres while maintaining the charm and affordability of rural living. For those seeking a lifestyle that combines natural beauty, community connection, and outdoor adventure, Keremeos is a wonderful place to call home.

About us:
We are committed to achieving a culturally diverse and inclusive workforce that is representative of the communities we serve, and where you are encouraged to bring your whole self to work. Well-being and work-life balance are promoted within the team, and our commitment to environmental sustainability supports our primary goal of increasing the health and well-being of everybody in our region.
