About the Opportunity

Our client, an established leader in the outdoor equipment and apparel industry, is seeking a Program Manager, Trade Marketing to lead impactful marketing initiatives across major U.S. retail partnerships. From immersive in-store activations and outdoor community events to product education programs, you'll play a key role in bringing the brand to life, creating memorable experiences that connect people with the outdoors.

Working alongside Key Account Managers, you'll take ownership of marketing programs for approximately 5–6 major national retail partners to develop strategies, manage budgets, and deliver impactful activations from concept through execution. This is an opportunity to combine your strategic thinking, organizational expertise and love of the outdoors in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

What's In It for You

You'll have the opportunity to own meaningful programs from start to finish, influence how a recognized outdoor brand shows up in the market, and see your ideas come to life. Expect a supportive team, exposure to national retail partnerships and a mix of strategic planning, creative problem-solving and hands-on experiences that keep every season interesting.

Your Responsibilities

  • You'll lead the end-to-end development and delivery of trade marketing programs across major national retail accounts, from identifying opportunities and developing strategies to execution, reporting, and evaluation.
  • You'll work hand-in-hand with Key Account Managers to understand commercial objectives, analyze sales data, identify priority markets and build seasonal marketing plans that strengthen brand awareness, product education and retail performance.
  • You'll develop and manage annual and individual program budgets, determining where to invest marketing dollars, tracking expenditures, and measuring the effectiveness and return on marketing investments.
  • You'll bring the brand to life through impactful in-store activations, community events, wholesale partner experiences, and product education initiatives that connect retail teams and customers with the outdoor industry.
  • You'll oversee the operational details that make great programs happen, including project timelines, vendor relationships, event logistics, and the development of scalable marketing toolkits that regional teams can execute locally.
  • You'll collaborate across Commercial, Brand Marketing, Digital, Retail, and other internal teams to align programs with seasonal campaigns, build stakeholder buy-in, and present strategies, results, and recommendations to internal teams and retail partners.
  • You'll travel across the U.S. for key account meetings, retail activations, and events, typically for 1–3 days at a time, while managing post-program reporting, performance analysis and debriefs to continuously improve future initiatives.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in trade marketing, program management, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with wholesale partners, national retail accounts, or consumer-facing brands, ideally within the outdoor apparel, sporting goods, or lifestyle industry.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and manage budgets, interpret sales data, evaluate marketing investments, and make informed recommendations.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex programs, competing deadlines, and stakeholders. Experience with Monday.com or similar project management platforms is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the confidence to build relationships, influence decisions, and engage stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • A proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to remain calm under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and balance independent ownership with cross-functional collaboration.
  • A creative, curious, and enthusiastic approach to your work, with a commitment to continuous improvement and a genuine interest in outdoor culture, experiences and the communities the brand serves.
